The value and quality do not align with price. We’ve noticed a change over the years. A recent example is us inquiring about particular services and a referral. We called twice and were told that we’d be called back with information and recommendations. Didn’t received a return call. A third call to follow up was met with "you can just Google what you need". Not the type of service I’d expect. Constant long waits for your appointment to start so plan to stand there for 15+ minutes. Additionally, if and when my pet passes, I’ll still owe payments. My advice is to go somewhere that values your pet, you, and your time.
A cat was abandoned outside of PetSmart, and the response from the staff was incredibly disgusting. The animal was clearly scared and vulnerable, yet there was little sense of urgency or compassion shown. When you work with animals, empathy should be the bare minimum. Another woman and I tried to help by contacting Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, but unfortunately no one answered, and the cat ran off before we could try and save it. I tried to approach it gently, but it ran away. It was heartbreaking to feel helpless in that moment. The staff on duty seemed more inconvenienced than compassionate. In a setting that revolves around animal care, empathy shouldn't feel optional!!! The lack of urgency and basic compassion from the three staff members present was shocking. I was the one who was one scrambling to call Maricopa County Animal Care and Control while they stood there. Honestly disgraces of humans especially in animal care.
I made an appointment, they called me to reschedule due to a number of surgeries they had to do that day, I reschedule and then they called me again to reschedule my appointment because they wanted to leave early, this behavior is severely incompassionate, my animal is sick and I made the first available appointment I could and they keep pushing it back not caring for the welfare or state of my animal and I tried to callback after the visit because my animal did not get better and they hung up on me. Marissa the receptionist was apathetic and rude, tried to speak to a manager after she hung up on me, She kept me on hold, called the storefront Petsmart and found out Banfield doesn’t have a manager, this may seem like an affordable option but they don’t care about you or your animal. Please go somewhere else
Lol I keep giving them shot after shot and then they just keep being rude as heck. It's crazy the way they keep talking to me. I'm throwing in the towel with my dogs here. I'm a social worker and can't imagine treating people the way I get treated jere half the time.. it's hit or miss
Do NOT bring your beloved animals here. This has been one of the most upsetting and frustrating experiences I’ve had at a veterinary clinic. I scheduled an appointment online for my cat, who was showing urinary issues—a medical concern that shouldn’t be taken lightly. I received a confirmation email, took time off work, and drove 30 minutes from Gilbert with my family, only to be told there was no record of the appointment. The front desk staff member we encountered was shockingly rude, completely unprofessional, and had zero empathy for our situation or for my cat. Her exact words were: "I’m in charge of online scheduling, and there’s no way that came through." Her attitude was dismissive and cold. She should be nowhere near animals or their owners. Someone lacking this much compassion and basic decency has no place working in a setting where people bring their pets in distress. They claim that urinary issues must be seen in the morning—but if that’s the case, why does their system allow you to book other times and even send email confirmations? This level of disorganization, combined with the rudeness and lack of accountability, caused us not only to waste our time and fuel, but also to lose income from time off work. If you value your pets and your peace of mind, go somewhere else. This clinic doesn’t deserve your trust or your business.
The drop off service is sketchy, our kitten came back worse, and they wouldn’t give us her prescription cause they wanted us to pay the 75 dollar upcharge with them instead of the 15 everywhere else. I also went to the Mesa Stapley location and seems like there all just as bad
Front desk staff is usually very attentive and friendly. However, it’s really tough to get a good provider consistently. One doctor was so bad, I had to call and request that she not ever see my pet again. Then, another provider jumps to a prescription for anything you mentioned, rather than asking more questions and finding a root cause solution. I’m not convinced the annual membership is worth it. I think once it’s over, I will just be getting pet insurance and finding a local, privately owned vet.
