Monterey Animal Clinic

I don’t live in Florida but visit often. My primary veterinary recommended follow up blood work on my Pomchi Tinkerbell. I researched veterinarians in the area and spoke with fellow pet owners. Monterey Animal Clinic came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. The care and service were excellent. I truly appreciate the attention they provided to my "Tink".

We unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our beloved German Shepherd, Izzy, on Thursday, and it was one of the hardest days of my life. The heartbreak is truly indescribable. Through it all, I am so deeply grateful for the compassion and support we received from his vet tech, Jennifer Taylor. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, JT treated Izzy — and us — with such tenderness and respect. She made sure we felt supported every step of the way, held space for my tears with open arms and without hesitation, and most importantly, created a peaceful, dignified environment for Izzy to pass, surrounded by love. In one of our darkest moments, her empathy made an unbearable day just a little softer. Additionally, Izzy had been under Dr. Maldonado’s care for many years, and I truly believe his life — defined by loyalty, strength, and unconditional love — was a reflection of the exceptional care he received. Dr. Maldonado is a true blessing. The entire Monterey Animal Clinic team showed us such kindness and professionalism during a moment that will stay with us forever. Saying goodbye to a dog like Izzy — our protector, our loyal companion, our family — is something you’re never prepared for. But I will always be thankful that in his final moments, he was surrounded by compassion, dignity, and people who truly cared.

I'm so appreciative of this animal clinic. My dog was diagnosed by another vet wrongly but this clinic straightened everything out and he's doing just fine. My daughter lives 30+ minutes away and she uses this place as she, like myself, feels very safe with the treatment we receive here. I'm also very appreciative of them providing me with extra meds which came in handy when we had an emergency, and I didn't have to bring him in at night, pay a fortune, etc. at an emergency vet clinic. Thank you so much for your care of our loved ones! ❤️

The office staff is always so nice and friendly every time we visit. Dr. Wood is phenomenal — truly an amazing vet! He has treated two of our three pups, and they absolutely love him, especially our first one. We always feel confident bringing our fur babies here. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️

It's always a pleasure taking my girl to a place where everyone is kind and professional. When we moved to Florida four years ago, we tried several vets. It is a testament to Dr. Wood and staff at Monterey Animal Clinic that we are willing to drive forty minutes for our appointments.

I have been taking my pups to Monterey for many years now and I have one 10 year old American Bulldog who completed the prolotherapy vs double knee surgery who acts like he is 3. Dr. Stinman saved my boy. Also I have had Dr. Wood who made sure I had the best care with canine cancer and surgical needs. Dr. Wood is our regular Doctor and loves my kids like his own. Dr. Maldonado has been great with helping my Bulldog with multiple gum surgeries. Monterey keeps the prices fair so you can give your pets the absolute best care possible and the vet techs know your kids by name and history. I love Monterey and will be a life long client.

Both my dog and I had a good experience from beginning to end, which means a great deal to us because she is not quite a year old and has some trust issues. All the staff and the Doctor passed that test and that told me alot!
