Northside Animal Hospital: Mark Salemi, DVM

The staff are wonderful. From my experience, they show that they truly do care for the well-being of the animals....the receptionists, the vet assistance, & ofcourse, the Dr. Pleasant, helpful, & knowledgeable. The only downside (which is understandable): because of the pandemic, having to wait in the car instead of being able to actually be inside the building. So, looking forward to when we can actually wait in the waiting room. Thank you Northside Animal staff for doing what you do & doing it with warmth & care. God Bless you.

Dr. Salemi and the entire staff at Northside Animal Hospital are an absolute pleasure! Dr. Salemi took time to review my cats previous medical records before my appointment to ensure that he had a game plan for when we came in. I can whole heartedly say we were treated like family, the entire staff was all hands on treating my boy Kai and creating a STRESS FREE environment for him. Dr Salemi has been the only vet that took my concerns seriously and made sure to thoroughly examine Kai and answer all of my questions. For a fur mom of cats with lengthy medical histories Dr. Salemi and his team are who I trust to take the best care of my boys! - Thank you!!

We have a rescued family of 4 cats, mom and her offspring. Dr, Salemi has been excellent with them. We are fairly new clients; just coming up on two years. Having found our felines, we first turned to rescue groups and the A.S.P.C.A. and have gone to other vets during those first very trying months. We actually remembered Northside Animal Hospital from awhile back after having found a baby opossum on our street. It was late on a Saturday, Sean, the person at the desk was most helpful in giving advice, and has a wonderful, caring phone manner as do all the staff here. We are very satisfied!

I've been to about 8 different vets across staten island, Brooklyn and jersey for my bunnies and dogs and never have i experienced the same level of kindness and care anywhere than I do from Dr. Salemi and his staff. Been coming here with my chronically ill rabbit for almost 5 years up until I had to finally put her down i appreciate every second of love they showed my baby. My bunny felt so comfortable she would fall asleep when she was being held by the assistants. I will always bring my rabbits here.

My husband and I took our dog here after we had taken him to a 24 hour vet the night before due to a fall he had taken. This office is amazing. The office is so clean and there was no odor of any kind. The doctor was amazing. He could have told us we needed to have a million things done for our dog to see what was wrong but he didn’t. He went with an easy approach first and if that didn’t work then we would take the next step. This place was worth every dollar we spent. They truly care for your pets here. I could keep going on and on. This is our new veterinarian for our dogs.

Our pets (dogs and cats) have been cared for by Dr. Borzio of Northside Animal Hospital for over 30 years. We recently lost our Black Lab, Tyronne who turned 14 years of age last summer. Like his Dad, Rudy did, he had a long and healthy life. The staff at Northside has always been top notch! They are caring, friendly and very professional. In addition to providing excellent care, Northside has annual get togethers in their Halloween Party and when Santa visits for photos with Northside clients. It's great to have a friendly, veterinarian owned animal hospital caring for our pets and not a big box store.

I love the doctors here and the staff. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell that animals are truly loved when they are brought to the office. I had so many issues with two of my cats and someone was always there to pick up the phone. I had ran to the hospital many times for emergencies and they take care of you IMMEDIATELY and so professionally. I highly recommend them to anyone. I would never take my animals to another vet.
