Astarbi In-Home Veterinary Care

This was the most pleasant experience my dog and I have ever had with a Veterinary visit!! Dr. Astarbi and his Assistant were loving and compassionate with my pet and it was obvious he was comfortable with them even licking them throughout the examination!! I would recommend them to everyone I know plus Dr. Astarbi explained everything in great detail!

I don't think I have ever written a review but I need to. I love this man. I've been using him for the last few years and I can't say enough good things. His new assistant is also wonderful. Not having to take my sick 15 year old cat on a stressful car ride is worth every penny. And his prices are amazing in my opinion. You won't pay for unnecessary things either. He is kind,truthful and down to earth. Please keep in mind that it may take time to get an initial appointment. He is not an emergency vet. He is very up front about this.

Dr Astarbi was my vet for over 10 years. I had four dogs at one time and he took care of all of them. Of the 4 , two were put to sleep comfortably in my house surrounded by those who loved them. He is very professional, always gave me a call back and a lot of advice over the phone. I had one dog with Addisons disease. He took care of Bella until she passed away at a ripe old age of 15, usually adisonian dogs don’t live that long. She didn’t have many episodes but when she did Dr Astarbi helped her get back on track. I miss my girl Bella and my boy Giacomo so much. I moved to Florida and he sent me my dogs records. I miss him and Steve. I cannot find and caring vets here, what a shame. Dr Asarbi is very down to earth ,funny, personable and honest and always gave me good advice. I would get my dogs teeth cleaned every year with dr astarbi. Not one problem at all. I wish I could find someone here on the same caliber but I cannot. Dr Astarbi is highly recommended, you won’t regret having him as your long term vet. I hope you are going well, trinket and pia say hello!

I went to Dr Astarbi on 7/23 I had heard so many great things about him . I called to make an appointment for my 12 year old dog that had congestive heart failure . She needed refills in her meds and it was just too much with her anxiety I thought this would be great . I liked him I thought he was good . He asked again in person if she needed medication I said yes she’s actually out as of tonight that was a Wednesday what I didn’t know was Dr Astarbi has many rules I thought he’s ok the medication on Thursday and Chewy would get it to me by Saturday and we would be ok long story short he never approved medication until Monday at 930. Pm my dog passed away Tuesday this was life sustaining medication he knew this he also was made aware several times she needed this he could have told me in person he would t be able to approve it until next week I would have taken her somewhere else to get her medication sooner . So I would not use him again . I think if you have a healthy animal he’s be fine but if your pet has any issues going on he has limited hours and limited times he would interact with you . I truly believe has he approved my dogs medication sooner she would still be here

Dr. Astarbi is the best veterinarian out there. I’ve had 4 pets treated by him thus far and each one he treats with such love and care. He is an animal lover at heart and his care for my pets have shown that. He only ever wants to help animals and would never treat your pets like they have done at previous animal hospitals I have visited. As long as he is around, he is the only vet I would ever use.

Dr Astarbi is great! He has the best attitude and really knows his stuff. My 2 cats Patrick and Poe were so good because they were in their own home. It made such a huge difference that I wanted to hug him! His assistant Danielle was super great too! What a wonderful experience. We have found our new vet! 👍

Dr. Astarbi is a great veterinarian. He is knowledgeable, reasonable, affordable, very patient with nervous animals, at the convenience of your own home, so that your pet doesn't feel even more anxious in the clinic. Doctor Pete has everything needed in the mobile van, including supplies and medications, the tests are done on the spot. Convenient payment options. The doctor follows up with phone calls and emails. We've been with this vet for almost 6 years and there was never any concerns or complains. Highly recommend!
