Desert Hills Animal Hospital

We took our new pup to Desert Hills Animal Hospital yesterday for her first visit with Dr. Coates, and we couldn’t be happier! Right from the start, the outside of the building looked clean and well-kept, with a freshly mowed lawn. When we walked inside, it didn't smell like a typical vet office at all—it was incredibly clean. In fact, the front desk team was constantly cleaning and mopping, and they were so kind to us. Our vet assistant was amazing and truly listened to all of my concerns. Dr. Coates was fantastic—she recommended vaccine options but never pushed anything on us. I felt completely confident in the decisions made for my pup's care, and I genuinely look forward to having Dr. Coates look after her throughout her life. Highly recommend!

The front desk always greats me with a smile. Avery always takes good care of Joey and Joey gets so excited to go to the vet. Love and respect all of the doctors. Both my mom and sister have both followed me to Desert Hills. Have been a loyal patron for over 30 years. Many more years to a success and prosperity. Dr. Hirshman would be proud of the business you have continued to build.

Great relationship with this Dr. Very compassionate staff. Knowledgeable and efficient. It has been easy to schedule appointments with my schedule. She are so kind and gentle with my little dog. We are thrilled they takes care of our Pogonip. The follow up calls and rechecks reassure us he's well cared for.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Desert Hills Animal Hospital. When our sweet puppy was diagnosed with cancer, it was one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through. Every single person there treated us — and our sweet Shirley— with such compassion, gentleness, and respect. They explained every step with honesty and kindness, gave us time to make decisions, and made sure our dog felt comforted and loved until the very end. Their empathy and professionalism meant the world to us during such a painful time. I’ll always be grateful for the care they gave — not only to our dog, but to our whole family. Thank you again!

Dr. Vittori is great, a real animal lover and a kind "people person". Desert Hills has been there for us, good times and bad. Several generations of our fur babies have received kind and compassionate care from the doctors and staff. Would not consider going anywhere else. Thank you! ( Us too, Annabel and Baxter 🐾)

This is the best veterinarian clinic I've experienced in the Reno-Sparks area. The staff is friendly and happy to be there and the vet I met was outstanding. She spent time with my dogs and looked them in the eye as she spoke to them. This was such a low-stress appointment for my dogs.

Honestly could not recommend this Vet clinic enough. Everyone is so kind and compassionate for not only your animals but also for you. Always listening to what you have to say and ensuring you know what’s going on. So grateful we have this vet!!
