I would suggest to anyone seeking medical help for your beloved pet to not come to Signal Hill Pet Hospital. I brought my beloved and loved pet here for help and allowed her to spend the night and the next day she was is worse shape. I was told she had a seizure but my dog has NEVER had a seizure. I took my dog home to be around people she knew and loved. In my way home I was contacted about a balance of 86 cents. I was an emotional wreck over my dogs prognosis and they had the audacity to call me about 86 cents. I told the receptionist to pay it herself and yo NEVER call me. They will never have the opportunity to get another dime out of me.

I had a great experience, I brought my cat "Boo" in for a spay, I saw Dr. Boctor, he was pleasant and had a peaceful kind presence. I was so happy to hear they accepted Long beach city vouchers to help with the cost. Front desk were very nice and cordial. My " Boo" was happy when I picked her up and purring away. I had to bring her back for a check up and she literally jumped in the carrier ready to go. Her scar is minimal and I feel they did a great job.

Pet owners beware! The office staff at this vet clinic are incompetent and rude. The staff lacks professionalism and empathy. Every time I called, I was on hold for a minimum of 10 minutes. And each time they answered, they could not find my information even though I had just been there hours before. However, they were very quick to charge us over $6000 for treatment that they never added to our signed estimate. The office manager and the rest of the front office staff were exhausting to work with. One front desk woman gave us attitude every time we came in with my dog. Again, awful demeanor. The cherry on top was when the same front desk woman began speaking loudly and negatively about the doctor in front of the clients in the lobby. Amazing that this place employs staff like this. I will say this, Dr. Atalla was a very kind and understanding vet. She explained things thoroughly and provided options for pet care. She is the only reason I did not give a lower rating.

Signal Hill Pet Hospital was my go-to for regular shots & check-ups. Dr. Boctor was mostly kind, supportive during most visits, however not thorough enough in exams. After paying $800+ for cytology testing on mass I located on my dog's neck. Boctor did not call with results, instead Admin (undereducated staff) referred phone numbers for cancer centers/oncology, though there was no definitive diagnosis from the cytology tests. I was left confused and very worried, it was agonizing. Previous to the tests we brought our pet in for coughing/exam, some x-rays were completed earlier in the year and told, maybe its bronchitis, she's slowing down, prescribed meds. They never felt my pets neck, lymphnodes or cared to take a closer look. It was myself who felt the lump and took her in again for check-up, leading to the cytology testing. Fast forward to two weeks later, my pet was diagnosed with Insulinoma at VCA (one of the referred vets) and a tumor, the cough was a result of a progressing illness that could have been treated successfully if treated earlier and with better care and a thorough examinations, I recall also asking for a blood test to detect any new problems, they refused saying my pets recent blood tests were valid. I should have been more persistent. Unfortunately I made the mistake of trusting this vet. Go elsewhere for Dr.'s who will take time to care for your babies.

Our experience at SIGNAL HILL PET HOSPITAL in plain terms was AWFULL The staff is rude incompetent and resistant too engage with us during a sad and stressful time for our pet. The vet wouldn't even touch my pet or even listen too his heart . She just stood in the doorway with her arms crossed and said ok we can print out 3 price options for services . 2 hours later they only printed out 1 option that was outrageous. The other 2 options never were delivered ....... and when we asked them about it we were basically ignored . I would not recommend this business

The actual veterinarians were extremely nice and helpful, also the prices were very reasonable. Which I guess is the important part. BUT..front desk staff is rude and seem miserable to be there, a smile and costumer service training is very important. They seemed like my presence was an inconvenience and I was scared to ask for a little help as I had 2 cats and a toddler with me. I know that’s no one else’s problem but I shouldn’t be scared to ask for help and maybe it’s wrong of me to think maybe they should just help. Also a lady was pushing a very old dog in the waiting room and I said something and all the front desk said is "it’s fine" I was in shock I will be reporting the lady in the waiting room to animal control. It just seems front desk has lack of training. Photo to show how old the dog is that was being pushed forcefully by owner. Vets help animals… Update went in for a spay and charged me 240$ and it doesn’t include a cone and or PAIN MEDS AFTER SPAY…bill came out to be 320$ I couldn’t afford medicine at the 7 day check up and they refused to help me in anyway, no payment plans, would t tell me any at home advice, wouldn’t offer a prescription, wouldn’t get me a list of medication to look online on chewy or something to get for cheaper ONE INJECTION was 240$ actually crazy all they care about is money and not the animals!!!

This place did a GREAT job when it came to making sure my newly adopted forever cat had all her shots and the prices are great too. It was busy the day I went but I took that as a good sign lots of devoted animal owners making sure that their love ones are all healthy and happy. Vaccinations make a difference people. And I also I met this great dog while I was waiting for my cat to be seen. His name is Bruce. His owner said she was nervous for me when I sat next to him cause he doesn't like people all that much cause he experienced abuse from his original owner and she had rescued Bruce and now has found his forever home. But Bruce is a cool Dog and was such a good boy he just sat next to me, two souls that needed each other that day, I was feeling a bit down and he did what animals do best they just love. It was a sweet moment.
