This is the Best veterinary animal hospital in the state. I have taken my dog, Drake, here for years- he is much older now and yes he is in his declining years and yes that is my day 1 Partna’ in this life and eternity. I celebrate my Mini Wolf Cuddly Westie because he is going through it and he … isn’t as young anymore thus. I truly appreciate the VCA and everyone the whole staff today, especially the doctor and the amazing kind young lady in the vet office room she had amazing positive energy which is always a rare and I appreciate you! Also I appreciate the doctor, for this is no easy job. Especially in the current times we live in friends. I truly appreciate the VCA they have been so kind and gracious to me and especially literally today’s visit made me post this on Wednesday while I sit in the parking lot with my doggie sleeping in his dog seat behind me. Keep up the great work friends, I always recognize exceptional work and excellence so thus I certify this as Five Stars for anything else would be invalid. Thank you. All love.

I want to personally thank Dr. Nico, Dr. Duran and everyone at VCA for their genuine care towards fur babies. But I was to especially thank Dr. Nico from the bottom of my heart for caring for my baby boy Gizmo since he was a pup until his 14th bday. Unfortunately, my husband and I had to make the hardest decision and letting Gizmo take eternal rest. Dr. Nico was so caring towards our little boy, our wishes and stayed with us until my little boy crossed into eternal rest. Dr. Nico has ALWAYS been professional but also showed his natural human side and never saw Gizmo as "another number" but genuinely cares. For that we are eternally grateful to him. Thank you Dr. Nico and VCA for always being there in our time of need!!! Definitely highly recommend them for all of your fur baby needs.

I was given an estimate before today’s visit and agreed to medication for my dog, so I expected the total to be around $260 plus the additional $36 discussed. At checkout, the bill was just under $400. When I asked why, the receptionist said my dog was given the 3-year distemper vaccine, even though I never requested it. I had discussed a 3-year rabies vaccine with the tech but decided against it. This office provides estimates but does not follow them. I also noticed I was charged for a fecal test that clearly showed $0 on my estimate because it was supposed to be free. I pointed this out, but the receptionist simply shrugged her shoulders and did nothing to correct it. I liked the tech and the doctor, but the billing practices felt like a bait and switch. Buyer beware — I will not be returning.

I took my doxie mix Joe to get checked he hurt his paw and leg I thought playing with our carin terrier. Turned out he sprained his shoulders! We went home with an antimflamatory for Joe to take for 2 weeks. Dr Nick and his assistant were kind caring and did not pressure for all kinds of test. The gentleman and lady at the reception desk couldn't have been kinder. I will be returning and highly recommend this VCA Animal Hospital

Extremely Disappointed – Careless, Overpriced, and Unethical I asked for a specific service and was denied, even though I’m a paying CareClub member. Dr. Monica prescribed medication that made my dog worse, not better. When I requested a more appropriate antibiotic—one that was originally prescribed but never used—they refused to help unless I paid to see another specialist. Why? More money. This place is not about care—it’s about profit. They push overpriced meds, deny reasonable requests, and hide behind policies instead of practicing compassion or common sense. I no longer trust them with my dog’s health or my money. The CareClub is a joke, and if my dog suffers because of their negligence, I will take legal action. Pet owners deserve better. Stay away.

We've been bringing Tiger here for a couple years now and while its definitely not the cheapest, the vets, vet techs, and receptionists are superb. I brought Juju for her first puppy visit about 10 days ago and everyone was extremely helpful answering all my questions.

I have been bringing my dogs to Wise Road Animal Hospital for many years—four dogs in total—and have always trusted the team’s care, respect, and dedication. Even when all that could be offered was a phone call, it was reassuring to know the vet cared enough to check in. Yesterday was the first time I reached out with true urgency since they merged with VCA Schaumburg. My dog Holly is suffering from flu-like symptoms, and since I live an hour away, I called at 8:30 a.m. to plan ahead in case I needed to travel. The day passed without a response, and by 2:45 p.m. I called back. I spoke with Toni, the vet technician, who advised Holly should be seen—but then told me the hospital was fully booked and I would need to take her to urgent care. It was heartbreaking to hear that a sick patient could not be prioritized over routine appointments. With only one appointment slot left that I could not reach in time due to travel, I was told simply to find another place. Hoping for guidance, I asked for my vet to call me back, but instead the office manager returned my call to say the vet was too busy and the hospital was booked through the weekend. To be told that my sick pet could not be seen at all was devastating. Holly is not just "a patient"—she is family. In that moment, it felt as though her wellbeing did not matter, and that was an eye-opening and painful realization.
