Cuyamaca Pet Hospital is the Best!! I have taken my animals there for years. They have the Best. Caring Customer Service!! The staff is always so nice and they have the Best Vets that are always so great when they take care of any animal that I take their. I love Dr Martin. She helped my kitty, Chief feel better after he sustained a small wound! She called me to check on Chief and so did her staff on a weekend. I will always recommend them to everyone I know who wants their pet to have the Best Care!! Thanks again, Julie Ferreiro

We are fairly new to Cuyamaca Animal Hospital, but it was time to bring our Mimi in for her final visit, as she'd had a rough last week of her 21st year. Dr. Kanholm, who had examined her a few weeks back, didn't have availability until tomorrow, but Bree, the office manager, offered to ask him if he could squeeze us in today. He agreed, and the care, time and compassion we received from Breanna, Jade, and especially Dr. Kanholm during this difficult visit has cemented our relationship with Cuyamaca Animal Hospital. We are very grateful to all.

Cruzer had an awesome experience during his visit on Saturday, 04/04/2026. The veterinarian was absolutely wonderful—very hands-on, caring, and personable. They took the time to thoroughly assess everything, answer my questions, and made me feel confident in the care provided. The entire team was just as amazing—friendly, attentive, and professional. You can really tell they care about both the pets and their owners. I truly appreciated the level of compassion and knowledge from everyone involved. Highly recommend!

I've been coming to Cuyamaca for many, many years, and have never once had a bad experience. The staff and doctors here are way above and beyond OUTSTANDING! 7 OUT OF 5 STARS 🙂 The staff go out of their way to make sure my furbaby has the very best experience possible and the care there is very top notch. But with all of that, the doctors go out of their way to keep the costs down, and unlike some things I hear about other vets, they dont try to upsell you to get the bill bigger. They truly and sincerely care about my fur family, and they've demonstrated that to me repeatedly over all of these years, so I just want to send a big THANK YOU to them all!! I'll never go anywhere else!

Love the staff! Very friendly, welcoming, and attentive! Really like the fact that they have 2 completely separate entries for cats and dog to keep the animals calm. Very cutely decorated and they even had a beautiful tall cat tree in the exam rooms for your fur baby to relax on.

The staff at Cuyamaca Hospital are very loving and caring when it comes to handling and treating your fur babies. From the time my 4 legged child was 2 months old down to 2024, extra live and care with Sympathy was given and Superb! I highly recommend this Hospital.

Best veterinary practice in San Diego!! Thank you, Dr. Salcido - and all the staff members there!!! The staff cares for my fur babies with the utmost care and professionalism. They give me updates, supply all meds, and always call to check on my boys after procedures. Everyone is kind, careful and knowledgeable. Thank you to everyone there! We appreciate you all!
