Ace Animal Hospital

It was late on a Saturday when a homeless dog I feed, Cooley, was badly beaten. I couldn’t leave him there — he could barely stand or walk. Since my regular vet was closed, we rushed to Ace. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, calm, and helpful. Cooley collapsed on the mat at the entrance, and everyone was kind enough to walk around him. Dr. Singh was incredibly thorough, starting with blood work and X-rays. He understood it was an emergency and that my funds were limited, so he was honest about what was urgent and what could safely wait until the next day. As someone who spends a lot of time and money helping homeless dogs, that honesty and compassion meant so much. Cooley received fluids, medication, and supportive care. Thankfully, no broken bones — but his front paw pads were torn, he had metal objects in his stomach, and his body was sore all over. The next day, I had several questions, and Dr. Singh took the time to answer them all. His kindness and dedication left a lasting impression. The entire staff — from the vet techs to the reception team — was amazing. A special thank-you to Tee up front for her warmth and understanding. Cooley and I are deeply grateful for the compassion and care we received at Ace.

Ace Animal hospital is truly special. Dr. DJ, Dr. Samir, and Dr. Singh are absolutely wonderful, and the entire team—especially Diana, Eric, Johnathan, Ariana, Tea, Moana, and Naomi, make every visit such a positive experience. The staff is kind, attentive, and always makes me feel like more than just an appointment; they actually know me by name and always do their best to accommodate me. Their care and compassion for my pets is so evident, and as a cat owner, it gives me such peace of mind knowing my cats are treated with patience and love. I’m so grateful to have found this practice and highly recommend them. I never hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding follow up, I never feel like a bother. Nice clean facility. We were greeted courteously by the staff and felt welcomed. The doctors were very professional, informative and calming. They discussed our cats procedure and gave us a promising outcome. I highly recommend this pet hospital! Thank you so very much. ♥️

I’ve been taking my pets here for years and they do not miss the mark… I’ve had 3 emergencies with 2 different pets and they immediately went to work and my babies came out like nothing happen. I don’t want to put anyone else down but based on my experience, they know what they are doing. I’ve had 2 other pets I’ve taken other places for the same emergency and they did not make it. And my last dog almost did not make it. I moved so I took him to closer vet who said everything was okay and as the situation got worse, God let me know to bring him to my original place which is here.. and my dog has now recovered after emergency surgery.

The veterinary team was incredibly attentive to each pet's individual needs, closely monitoring them during and after the procedures to ensure smooth recoveries. The staff communicated clearly every step of the way, answering all my questions thoroughly and putting my mind at ease as a concerned pet parent. What stood out most was the friendly, welcoming atmosphere combined with a high level of expertise. Everyone from the front desk to the technicians and veterinarians treated our cats (and us) with kindness and respect. I absolutely love this place! If I lived nearby, I'd use Ace as my primary vet! I discovered it through Yelp because I do cat rescue and had recently trapped a precious tuxie kitten I did not want to dump back on the streets after her spay surgery in Harbor City. I figured I'd take her in and see how she does with my other cats, but I wanted her checked out first (combo test, de-wormer, flea treatment, vaccines, etc.) to make sure she could integrate into my apartment without bringing in anything unwanted (like fleas and worms!). Naomi was the one who greeted me at reception, and she could not have been any friendlier or more helpful. She could see I was a little jittery about having this feisty kitten, Tallulah, and was SO reassuring and helpful. She's also been great about responding to my recent emails with follow-up questions. Eric and Jade were excellent technicians who were kind both to me and my kitty (more important!). Dr. Samir was the vet who assessed Tallulah and gave me options to spend less money. I was impressed because I'd been to Access in Culver City before, and while that is good as an emergency hospital, no one tries to save you money, and everything is more expensive. I appreciated how kind Dr. Samir was with Tallulah, though she was described as "feisty" and "spicy." He absolutely loves cats and was very supportive of me giving this wild little girl a chance at a home life away from the filthy, squalid car wash where I trapped her. In fact, I want to take her back there in one year for her check-up and any booster she might need, even if it means driving from the Marina to San Pedro.
