Burbank Pet Hospital

This place has been caring for my furry friends since I was a young boy. Recently, they assisted me with after death services for my childhood kitty. After it was all said and done, they sent me a handwritten card offering their condolences. Trust me when I say, you won’t find a more caring team anywhere else.

I’m grateful to this pet hospital for the caring and affectionate vets and staff. Dr Alvarado and Dr Fluegge have seen our 2 cats and given excellent advice for their health and well being. When there’s an urgent need, they are there for us. And for things that can become chronic issues, they’ve advised us so we can avoid long term problems. Our cat Nori was overweight and has now lost 15% of her body weight quite happily thanks to their advice. Both our cats are doing well under their care. Although we moved to another part of the Bay Area, we continue to visit them so that our cats can get the care they deserve. Many thanks to Burbank Pet Hospital for their excellent service.

This practice should have its license revoked. My vet was out of town, so I made an appointment with Burbank for the vet to check a growth on my dog's chest. The vet looked at the growth, and without any pathology test, claimed it was malignant and quoted almost $3,000 to remove it. When I got home, I realized they hadn't given me a printout of the medical evaluation. I called Burbank and asked them to email me the vet's evaluation. I received a barely readable handwritten note claiming my dog had cancer on its thigh (which it did not). I asked them to send a typed copy for the correct dog. One month later I still haven't received anything. I took my dog to another vet where they did a cytology test that showed the growth is a histiocytoma, which will resolve on its own. It does not require surgery. Burbank is a disgrace.

I've loved the staff at Burbank for over twenty years now. They have been very compassionate and sensitive to us as pet owners when we've brought our sick/injured animals (two dogs, three cats and one sick pet rat) in for treatment. And their fees are quite reasonable. I don't have anything negative to say about their clinic. They are just great!

Dr. Fluegge is a wonderful veterinarian who we’ve come to trust with caring for our dogs. She explains things clearly, provides options and is thoughtful during critical times.

We had been there for kid Labrador's vaccinations and checkup. Received a quick response, doctor and the staff were very cooperative. They also advised us the precautions to be taken by us and the diet for the well-being of the dog. We feel thankful..

Vaska escape the house for about 30 mins and when he return he was throwing up. I was trying to schedule an appointment at other places but Burbank was the only one that agreed to a same day appointment. Vaska is now feeling much better.
