Acacia Pet Clinic San Jose

i've been taking my dogs to acacia for 10+ years and never thought i'd leave them because they're local and provided good service. but, things have changed. most notably, credit card payments now have a 4% surcharge. they don't tell you about it in advance nor was it visibly posted in the office. for me, that would've been about $30.00! so i paid with my debit card which i hate doing. there was also confusion on the medication i requested. it wasn't included in my final bill so they had to run my debit card again. and the medication was supposed to be for both dogs but i was provided meds for only one dog. the veterinarian who treated my dogs wasn't a regular staff member, she was doing temporary coverage. i learned that after i couldn't find her business card at the front. i thought she was the one who'd perform the cleanings and extraction but it'd actually be done by someone i hadn't met. i had expensive bloodwork done in preparation for dental work; one teeth cleaning, and the other was cleaning with an extraction. but after the medication confusion, poor communication and 4% credit surcharge issue, i'm taking the loss on paying for the bloodwork and going somewhere else. it was such a bad experience, i just don't trust them anymore.

Very good clinic. Easy to schedule an appointment and transfer medical records. Everyone was very friendly. The doctor answered all our questions in details with no rush.

We had to bring our puppy to Acacia Pet Clinic for emergency X-rays, and I’m so glad we did. The team was kind, efficient, and really helped put us at ease during a stressful time. They work closely with Willow Glen Pet Hospital, which made everything smooth and coordinated. I truly appreciate the care and attention they gave our pup!

Dr. Steele and her staff are professional, kind-hearted, and have great bedside manner. My cat went in due to not pooping, peeing, eating, nor eating for 3 days due to excessive vomiting from his food. I didn't have an appointment, but they gladly took me in for a drop-off. Dr. Steele was thorough and provided my Chaplin with the care he needed. She never once tried to add any unnecessary procedures and I didn't feel pressured when I declined certain options. I've never had this experience with other several vet clinics in the past. I can tell my cat was calm and not as stressed as other facilities he's been previously seen at. The facility is large and clean. And the front desk staff were so accommodating. Thank you Acacia! We will switch over to you. Ps: my cat is back to normal
