Remedy Veterinary Specialists

My dog got hurt while running crazy at the park. I took her to Urgent Care at Irving Pet Hospital and Dr Fong referred us immediately to Remedy. He suspected my dog had a spine injury that required surgery. My regular vet agreed that Remedy was the best place to take her. Remedy was ready and waiting for us in the time it took to drive there! Dr Qahwash evaluated her right away. They were able to do an MRI and get her into surgery that afternoon. It certainly wasn’t cheap but you get what you pay for. Their kindness and care were outstanding and worth every penny. Bottom line they saved my dog. They even sent me a photo of her from the overnight care team so I’d know she was ok. And when I picked her up the next day, we were able to see the rehab specialist who gave me some exercises and pointers about keeping her safe and getting her moving again. Overall it’s an incredible veterinary practice! Turns out I know another dog who’s being treated there for seizures and they also have nothing but good things to say.

We are so grateful for Dr. Journey, Laura, Ann, the other vet techs, and the whole team at Remedy Vet for taking such great care of our imperial Shih Tzu. She had IVDD and needed neck surgery to remove a bulging disc. They have been informative, consultative, caring, and communicative throughout the whole process. They continue to check in post surgery and answer the phone whenever we have questions about her recovery care. We have truly felt that our little dog is in the very best hands possible, which has been such a blessing during a scary and emotional time. They not only treated her condition with expertise and precision, but also treated us with patience, empathy, and reassurance. We cannot recommend Remedy Vet enough and are beyond thankful for the level of care they provided to our sweet girl.

All I can say is that Remedy is an incredibly Veterinary Practice. When our cat was sick we were swiftly helped to improve his quality of life and get him feeling better then, years later when it was truly time to let him go (he was 21years old at that point), we were given gentle guidance and advice on what to do to make sure he didn't suffer. Kindness, compassion, professionalism, and personal care are all key components of the relationships built at Remedy, and I certainly value mine. I will definitely be bringing both my other fur babies to Remedy when the need arises - hopefully not too often though. 😉

I am beyond grateful for the care and expertise provided by Dr. Jurney and the staff at Remedy Specialist. They have truly gone above and beyond in every way at a critical juncture for my dog. Dr. Jurney is extremely knowledgeable, professional and her compassion knows no bounds. The whole process from booking through the diagnosis has been pain-free, efficient, and treated with loving care. I think we forget what it feels like to have staff and a doctor really care about your pet, that shows great compassion in getting the right diagnosis and treatment even when it’s beyond the scope of neurology. I will eternally be grateful to Dr. Jurney and staff and highly recommend them for anyone needing their services and expertise. Bonus, their establishment feels like home with cozy couches, rugs, plants, and flooded with natural light and expertly decorated.. That alone Show you the level of detail they go to to put beloved pets and pet parents at ease as you’re not in a sterile room with steel tables smelling of noxious chemicals. If I could give a 100 star rating, I would❤️🥰

We started our journey with Remedy Veterinary Specialist in February. Our pup Bailey had a seizure which led to the discovery of a brain tumor. After meeting with Dr. Jurney and the wonderful team at Remedy, we opted to have surgery performed to remove the tumor. All went great with the surgery. Dr. Jurney and crew was wonderful and answered all my calls and text promptly. Number 1 all around team. Unfortunately, Bailey developed serious complications due to an unforeseen rare infection. Bailey spent a week in a local veterinary hospital getting stabilized. I returned to see Dr. Jurney who diagnosed the root cause of Bailey’s new issue. Prior to seeing Dr. Jurney, I was very concerned about what was going to happen with Bailey. Bailey is now being treated for the infection and is on the road to recovery. Besides being caring and understanding our needs, Dr. Jurney will give you the information needed to make a decision. We are so glad we were referred to Remedy Veterinary Specialist and Dr. Jurney. I could write volumes on how great everyone has treated Bailey and us. They are #1 in our book.

Remedy Veterinary Specialists helped our dog during a very difficult time after an abdominal surgery. She was clearly in pain, and despite our concerns, our regular vet wasn’t able to provide the support she needed. We felt worried and unsure of where to turn. Reaching out to Remedy’s pain management service was the best decision we could have made. From the first conversation, we received kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable guidance. The team took our concerns seriously, carefully reviewed her case, and updated her pain management plan, which worked wonders almost immediately. If your dog is painful or struggling after surgery, you need to go to Remedy for their pain service. We are incredibly grateful for the care they provided and cannot recommend them highly enough.

So fortunate to have a Neurologist and team of this caliber in the Bay Area. Dr. Jurney is a top veterinary neurologist and the co-owner of the practice is a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) and Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP). This combination is incredible and complements each other and the needs of their patients so well. My dog (Chihuahua x Rat Terrier) was demonstrating some neurological symptoms, as well as some back pain. We were able to get an appointment for a consultation without delay and scheduled an MRI, which was done in-house. Having the advanced imaging capability is so key with neurology, as is having a board-certified veterinary neurologist right there to evaluate the images and make a diagnosis. Luckily, our little dog didn't have to have surgery, but knowing they have such an advanced team to perform specialized spine or brain surgery is incredible.
