The staff at the spay and neuter office were very helpful, kind and professional. The veterinarians, esp Dr Owyang and vet assistants, were very informative and non judgmental. The intake Dr was very careful in getting as much information about my dog as possible and was very sweet in welcoming my dog. Despite being busy, they took the time to update me on the progress of the surgery, go through the medications with me, they even allowed me to wait in the office as I lived far enough away that it was better to wait there than to drive back and forth 2x. When an abnormality was found, the surgeon took the time to explain my options. She also addressed my questions on the follow up care and food that I should give my dog. When my dog was released for pick up, I left with the feeling that she was very well taken care of. Thank you so much for being there for us.

One of world renowned veterinary hospitals which is certified by AAHA too. I am very lucky and happy to be able to visit them and toured their facilities. The entire hospital is very well equipped and organized. They preform over 200 surgical procedures in a day for both dogs and cats. There animal shelters are also very well organized. And the adoption fee is much cheaper them many Bay Area SPCAs(only $125). I’m thinking to become one of their annual donors.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to the medical team at SPCA for providing such world-class, empathetic, compassionate care to my previous love bug, Chestnut. He had a critical medical episode due to an underlying condition. I called them ahead of my arriving and they were fully prepared for my arrival, remembered my cat’s name from the call hours before, and acted swiftly to stabilize him. The veterinarian came in to deliver the news I was sadly expecting, but did it in such a way that honored the decision I knew I needed to make. They gave me all the time in the world to feed him delicious treats and a final meal, hold him, sing to him, and then hold him as he gently went "to sleep." While I am heartbroken, the experience was beyond all expectations and they made it possible for my beloved angel to have a dignified, honorable transition. Thank you, SPCA, for making his end of life a truly gentle and compassionate transition. Thank you for meeting me where I was at, and for walking with me through it all and helping me into my new chapter without my best friend. Please never stop the work you do. I cannot express how critical it is to our community.

I have been bringing my dogs and cat here for the past 10+ years. They have always been very professional and they love animals. My dog has had major dental surgery and she is doing well. Usually get in early to see them before my appointment time. Rarely have to wait. I’m in every month for an arthritis injection for my dog. She is so much better. Good place!

Went in at 4:15 and came out with my puppy at 6:15. The staff was very friendly, informative and generous. I was supplied with everything I could need for my new little boy. The people there are the best!

I have a million-dollar cat who has been to the vet almost monthly since I adopted him 1 1/2 years ago. We've seen several vets at the SFSPCA and finally feel like we found "the one" in Dr Lynn. Dave is a sweet boy, but he doesn't like to be held or handled. She made him feel comfortable and really took the time to review his history and make recommendations for long-term and proactive treatment. She also worked with me to find alternate treatments as I was unable to give him the large pills she initially recommended. We just finished a round of antibiotics, and I've started him on flea meds and a few supplements to boost his immune system. Fingers and claws crossed, we hope this will help us avoid regular, unplanned visits, but we will definitely ask for Dr Lynn for all future appointments. Thanks for taking good care of us.

Horrible. All they care about is money, and once I got a grant, then they really treated us like crap, I still haven't got his labs back from two weeks ago. The receptionist told me the vet said it's chronic inflammation of the liver and to change up his diet. It is not his diet and he is still deathly sick he has been for years but now he is depressed and sad and he never eats. They said heartburn.... They are the meanest judgemental in it for the money.
