This was our third visit to Thrive Pet Hospital, and I truly can’t express how grateful I am for the care my dog, Williams, has received here. The first two times he was hospitalized, he stayed for five days each time, and both experiences were incredibly frightening. He was in very serious condition, and we honestly didn’t know if he was going to make it. The staff supported me through every moment with compassion, patience, and clear communication, which meant more to us than words can express. This most recent visit, just this past Tuesday, was only for one day—but once again, we were reminded why we trust this team so much. Seeing how far Williams has come is nothing short of amazing, and I know it’s because of the dedication and care he’s received here. Everyone we’ve encountered at Thrive Pet Hospital has been kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They treat animals like family and support pet owners with real compassion and understanding. Thank you for helping save my dog’s life and for continuing to be there for us. They took care of our dog very urgently upon arrival. We had no idea what was wrong with him, but they were able to run tests and determined he had ingested something toxic. They kept him over night, stabilized him, and called us once to provide an update. We were panicked and asked a lot of questions - they answered all of them with care. Would definitely come back if needed! Only downside can be wait times (pick up) but they are busy and are tending to high needs!

On Saturday, February 21, 2026 we took our beloved furbaby for an emergency spay surgery. When we got there, my Rottweiler had fever and was dehydrated due to not drinking enough water and not eating. We got to Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists and automatically without hesitation we were attended. Our furbaby was well taken care of and went through surgery without any complications. After the surgery, we were able to see her. She was discharged and as of now she is doing wonderful back to her normal self. We want to thank Dr. Rimmerlin, Dr. Pace and Dr. Bauer for there wonderful expertise and for taking care of our furbaby. We also want to thank everyone else who took their time to attend to our furbaby. We recommend Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists to everyone especially since it's open 24 hours. Wally, our 15 year old cat, began having breathing issues late on a Sunday afternoon. From the moment we walked into Thrive, the staff was incredibly compassionate and attentive. They took time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and treated Wally with genuine care and respect. The facility was clean, modern, and well organized. We met with Dr. Ready. She clearly understood that Wally was family, and we wanted to ensure he was comfortable. We made the decision to have Wally stay overnight for diagnostics and to benefit from an oxygen kennel. The next morning, Thrive sent the diagnostic information to Wally's primary vet to ensure everyone was on the same page. We returned to Thrive, and met with Dr. Montgomery to review Wally's test results. Our guy was not doing well. Dr. Montgomery gently and patiently walked us through our options. Wallace Albie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 12.22.25, calmly, comfortably and surrounded by family that loves him dearly. The folks at Thrive showed the utmost respect, kindness, and professionalism during one of the most difficult moments in a pet family's life. We are truly grateful, and I highly recommend Thrive without hesitation... exceptional care.

Outstanding emergency care for my 8 lb senior dog who ate a large double dark chocolate cookie. It was imperative that he be treated at once to prevent absorption of this large amount of chocolate, which can be toxic to dogs. I was able to complete the brief paperwork online, and submit it electronically to Thrive. The staff was already prepared to admit my dog and start treatment immediately. Thrive (2426 Cee Gee, San Antonio 78217) was well staffed with receptionists, certified veterinary technicians, and veterinarians. The reception area was clean and spacious. Everyone was kind and compassionate, plus they were efficient. No delays in getting treatment started. We were kept informed on the status of our dog. Dr. Tran explained all the procedures to us. Our dog emerged from treatment relaxed, and very clean (they must have bathed him after inducing vomiting.) He was fine, with no after effects. The price for the visit and all services and medications was reasonable ($343.00). I definitely recommend Thrive Emergency Clinic for emergency pet health care.

On my visit 6-2-26 my 6yr old cat had not been eating for days this was my 2nd trip to the ER (not the same ER). K Deans was the sweetest, nicest, empathetic veterinarian I have ever had. Grey Sloan is now doing much better. The staff was also wonderful and polite. I had 2 follow up calls I am grateful. I will return and highly recommend.

Dr Deans was very compassionate and supportive, and I believe honest with the details of the situation with my baby Moses. She was very helpful and patient and helping me to understand what the choices were. Moses was 14 And honestly, didn’t have a real positive outcome. I decided not to continue his pain, but help him cross the bridge to heaven, and I’m hoping to see him there. It really hurts my heart, but I have to keep telling myself that It would be selfish of me to have kept him going so that I would not be alone and miss him so much. It was better for him, but very sad. I will truly miss him. Thanks, Dr. Dean’s for being understanding helping me to understand.
