Wow!!! Finally found a great vet! Dr. Nagle and his wonderful assistant love cats! It was such a drastic difference from every other vet we've seen. A positive experience from start to finish! A plan that made sense and seemed realistic! And very reasonable prices! No tears from this cat mama, and my kitty was happy! Random side note: his brother usually hisses at him when he comes home from the vet. He didn't hiss this time! I'm so thankful to finally have found someone who sees us as our unique selves and doesn't just profile us as a cat and cat owner. And someone who has such a clear love for animals! And someone willing to get to the bottom of the recurring problem. Thank you so much Sacdermvet! We look forward to our next visit!

DR. JUSTIN UHL and his staff are absolutely the best! Drove from Sonoma County to Sacramento so that Porterhouse could get the best possible care. MAJOR CUDOS to Maribel, the front office angel Porterhouse needed "airway surgery";they also enlarged his nostrils. He should breathe easier after recovery! Transferring Porty to Vista Veterinary for overnight hospital observation.

I visited Dr. Nagle twice with my Japanese chin. He had a persistent yeast/bacterial infection that Dr. Nagle tried treating with two different meds, neither of which led to lasting resolution. Exhorbitant ($150) price for a recheck that had $70 added to it merely to re-scrape and analyze under a microscope for what yeast/bacterial strain it was (the same as two weeks ago). Didn't appreciate his glib, smartass manner when I would ask legitimate questions about the efficacy of products available on Amazon. Other reviewers correct about condescending tone. Switching to different vet.

My poor dog has been suffering for months on end but we finally got some relief. This office was great and the doctor was so helpful. He’s still healing, but he’s on the road to recovery.

I came here out of desperation to get my dog's skin condition diagnosed & treated after having been to 2 other vets who could not figure out what was wrong. After over $2,000 of tests/office visits (that had ALREADY been done by previous vets), still no answer, and no other testing that can be done. Needless to say, I'm not happy. My poor dog still has no diagnosis, and the best these "specialists" can do is *try* one medication after another... A guessing game on MY dime. The only real positive thing I can say is that the staff were nice, and the office is clean.

I would not recommend them. They were difficult to deal with in scheduling. The actual vet appointment lasted a long time and we were told a lot of general information about skin issues but no treatment plan was given to or discussed with us. We were the just given a lot of medication at the end that was not explained. I found the vet tone and communication to be condescending and not effective.

Dr. Nagle is great! Very responsive, and knowledgeable on derm issues which are very hard to pin down. He is especially good with my dog who is reactive due to general anxiety disorder. He knows how to put a dog at ease which makes an enormous difference for us in particular. No rushing and happy to answer questions. I really appreciate the way he thinks through things out loud. He caught a bloodwork issue that wasn't pointed out to me by my dog's other recent vets (since we just moved there have been a good number of those!). Charges are in line with other specialist vets I have seen in less expensive cities. It's expensive to see a specialist vet, but that's just how it works. He is conscious of pricing on meds so you don't end up spending more than necessary with a bunch of leftover doses during an adjustment or something.
