I’ve been bringing my pets to Dakota Hills for over 25 years. My pets always received great, compassionate care starting with my beloved Yorkie, Bree, who was seen by Drs Dye and Ireland. Now I have Finn (11) and Skye (2) and most recently they’ve seen Dr Shipman and Kendra. What a great duo! Finn can be a little grumpy but you wouldn’t know it with those two. They loved on him and he loved them right back! Yesterday was the best appointment he’s had in a long time. Thank you to DHVC and especially Dr Shipman and Kendra. I appreciate you all.

My dog began limping out of nowhere late last night. Then refused food and water the following morning. I called as soon as they opened and they got me in same day. The facility is spacious and clean and their attention to my dog was unmatched. I just moved to Rapid City from another state and the whole process was seamless. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable. Pricing was straight forward and follow up appointments were very accommodating to my work schedule. 10/10, would definitely recommend. And my fur baby is doing well!

Our two dogs (Rottweiler and Springer Spaniel) and cat are very well-cared for here! Thank you Dr.Shipman & Dr.Ireland, plus all the awesome techs who know how to handle our animals. Our cat is very nervous with shots and they figured out how to make him comfortable, and our dogs are super wiggly but they always manage to make shots and draws quick and painless. Love it here!!

We found a tiny kitten on the side of a busy road and brought her to Dakota Hills Veterinary Clinic to be evaluated. After an assessment, it was determined that she needed life-saving surgery. The incredible team at Dakota Hills not only stepped up and prioritized her care, but also helped cover the cost of her treatment. We are beyond grateful for their compassion, generosity, and dedication to helping this sweet little girl. We’ve decided to adopt her and will continue her care with this amazing clinic that quite literally saved her life. ❤️

Brought my dog in for the first time to get checked out for a sore and they got me in and out with medication and a care plan for my puppy within 30 minutes of me arriving. They were all so kind and helpful and answered all my questions and even gave me recommendations. The price was also great considering it was on a weekend and vets usually charge like crazy for that. All the staff was amazing and everything went perfectly. I will definitely be back! 🙂

The doctors and techs at Dakota Hills have been taking care of our dogs for over 40 years. From day one, the care and concern for our pets has been above and beyond exceptional. From yearly checkups to emergencies, to helping us make the very hard decisions that come with loving our pets, their support has been incredible. If your primary vet isn't available, anyone of the other vets is amazing and made available to be seen. The vet techs (a special shout out to Michelle❤️) are so invested in providing loving and gentle care to your beloved animals. We are in a season of no four legged family, but when a new one comes along, Dakota Hills will be our choice for providing care for it.
