They approach care thoughtfully and treat each animal as if it were their own, which brings such peace of mind as a pet owner. Whether it’s a routine visit or something more concerning, you always feel supported and confident in the care your pet is receiving. The clinic itself is clean, calm, and well run — which makes a huge difference for nervous pets (and nervous owners!). I found the practice clean and pleasant and the staff very helpful. I got a cat in February this year and wanted to get him established with a local vet (he was from the Boston area) This was a meet and greet and he is very comfortable around people and apart from expressing his disapproval of having his claws trimmed it was a very nice appointment (he forgave the vet when she offered some Churu!) Glad I found a good place to bring my new kitty for care.

I have been bringing these two girls here since they were kittens. As they grew up, their aversion to the vet reached such an intense level, I didn’t know what to do. I felt like an awful pet parent, unsure as to why their behavior was so calm and cuddly at home, but aggressive and anxious at the vet. The entire PVC team never once passed judgment on my girls. Dr. Aldrich helped us come up with a treatment plan that kept not only the babies safe, but myself and the PVC staff as well. It’s been quite a routine to get used to, but we always make it work, and I’m so grateful to every human that’s handled my girls with such care. I will forever recommend PVC!

40+ years as a customer, always with 3 Springers, and nothing mutt top notch service. Living on Prudence Island and needing scheduling flexibility to marry up with ferry schedules going and coming back, they are always understanding and helpful to ensure convenience. I’ve seen a lot of doctors come and go over the years, some long time favorites, but the excellence and professionalism is always top notch. The front desk and nursing support are equally among the very best. Highly recommended in every respect.

Our dog Bentley has severe anxiety when going to the vet, but Dr. Cipolla and her staff are wonderful with him, even though he has some behavioral issues. Thank you Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic for taking such good care of Bentley!!!
