Scales & Tails Exotic Pet Clinic

I’ve been through many vets in the years of having animals, and this is the very first time that I feel 100% safe with them. They are VERY transparent about everything before hand, if you have questions they answer asap even on days they are closed (if emergency) They are very friendly, VERY thorough with checking everything your baby may need. My bearded dragon suddenly got very sick and they got her in faster than I expected honestly. You can tell how much they love and care about the animals and their jobs. I was leaving for a week and they rushed my babies medicine so she could have it and not wait until I got back. This vet saved my babies life. I usually don’t write reviews (I tend to forget about them tbh) but I wanted to make sure that I got my voice out there for them🖤 If you have exotics this is the best place you can go to get help for your baby

I brought my bunny, Fred, to scales and tails for the first time, and I was so impressed by the level of care, compassion, and thoroughness we received. Fred has been dealing with a stubborn eye issue for a long while, and this is the first time I’ve left an appointment truly feeling hopeful, informed, and supported. The entire staff was kind, patient, and so gentle with Fred. They took their time, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood the treatment plan and what to expect. I never felt rushed, and I really appreciated how much they truly care about their patients. Even after the appointment, their communication and follow-up have been incredible, something that means a lot when you’re dealing with an ongoing issue and just want your pet to feel better. I’m beyond grateful for the experience we had here, and I highly recommend scales and tails to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and trustworthy team for their exotic pets. I finally feel like Fred is in the right hands.

I take my Beardy and Chameleon here! They help me get my Chameleon back up to health as well as educating me on the infertile eggs females can have! They absolutely love my girl! They make me and her feel so loved and welcome. I will continue to use them for every reptile visit I may need. They are very timely with emergencies. They really care about your babies! Your animals are in great care here. Even the cages they keep them in! Just overall an amazing group. Thank you for everything!! Here are my sweet babies!

Hands down the kindest and most caring vet for small/exotic animals. They treat my bunny Basil with such love and me with respect. Every time I have had to come to Scales & Tails whether is be for vaccines or emergency has always been a positive experience in the end.

I would give Scales & Tails 10 stars if I could. The whole team is lovely and amazingly helpful. I trust them completely with my bunnies. I don't think my boy rabbit (Felix, pictured) would be here today without their help. I wish they could be open 24/7 so I never need to go elsewhere! Haha. The staff is amazing, intelligent, and caring. Dr. Surrency seems unmatched in her field. I cannot imagine a better healthcare partner for my three guinea pigs. We receive highly individualized attention and expertise for unique, and sometimes even rare circumstances. We have followed this vet from several prior practices, with nothing but good things to say. I am so happy they have been able to branch out to their own practice, and it's wonderful that we are lucky enough to be able to continue our healthcare relationship all these years. We have been through a lot with them, and they feel at this point like an extension of our family. They may love our guinea pigs almost as much as we do! 😉

I am obsessed with this place <3 I dont even know where to begin. It’s so clear they care about animals & the humans who love them. They are incredibly thorough & thoughtful. I’ll give you a play by play. I called initially because I was concerned about my brumating beardie. I wasn’t already a client, but the receptionist answered all my questions & cross-referenced with multiple technicians if she didn’t know the answers. They advised me as to best practices before I was even a client and I think that speaks volumes. I scheduled an appointment & they were very clear about how to drop off my lil guy & what to expect. Then they called & did an incredibly detailed and thorough intake with me, getting a good picture of my husbandry practices. When I picked my beardie up, he was accompanied with a helpful printout of info. The next day Dr Surrency called me to ask if any questions had arisen. Matt also texted a day or two later to ask if I had any new questions. When Glizzy’s test results arrived, Dr Surrency called, left a voicemail when I didn’t pick up AND emailed me, to make sure I got the info. They gave me choices about treatment options and let me come in to learn how to administer my lil guy’s oral Rx. Everyone is SO NICE & stoked to help care for my baby. I *love* that they’re available through text. Thanks so much for your care. Stoked to have a really solid vet for glizz <3
