I can’t thank Dr. Stuie and Taylor enough for the care they gave my pup yesterday after he broke his nail. They both went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and taken care of. They were compassionate and patient with him as he gets a bit nervous at the vet. It’s so reassuring to know there are people who genuinely care about your pets as if they were their own. We are so grateful for the amazing care and kindness we received.
I've worked with Portland Veterinary Wellness Center now for a year. It's been a good one! They were able to see one of my dogs for a medical emergency quickly during that time. (We also went to Dove Lewis for another, late night medical emergency.) Both annual wellness exams were smooth and calm, with a sweet and friendly staff. My dogs have been a lot calmer getting vaccinations here than at the previous vet. Wellness checks are $90.
Im so frustrated with this place. I just got quoted a very high end price (over 600) to neuter my male kitten. The vet (Dr Flott) completely missed several masses on my Dog during her annual exam a couple months ago which a simple palpation should have caught. I had also called one evening because I had found a crow that was critically injured and didn't know what to do. The young lady on the phone thought it was hilarious and couldn't control her laughter because i called and asked for advice on what to do. I felt that was extremely rude considering they are a animal care place. When im there and looking around it certainly doesn't look like a high end place and I dont believe the staff are very professional. I will be taking my Dory and Diego elsewhere. If im gonna pay high end prices im gonna get high end service which is not what I got from this clinic. I understand what type of clinic you are and you should understand that being an ANIMAL CARE! Clinic your staff should at least have some empathy, compassion and genuine understanding of humane treatment of all animals. All I asked was advice on what to do which I ultimately got the answer to (Audubon Society) but I was mocked by your staff and that is rude.
I don’t trust vets easily. My pets are not just that, but loved as family members. I happen to live close to the clinic and read some positive reviews. I took a chance and went in with my beloved dog for a routine checkup. He doesn’t like the vet, but he liked Dr. Onuta. The techs and front desk staff were exceptionally patient with him. Allowed him space to breathe and try to relax as much as possible. No one pushed him past his comfort zone and no one faulted him for making their job a little difficult. Because of the thoughtfulness and clear compassion for my little demon, I brought in his sister and she was treated just as well. If you’re looking for a vet clinic you can rely on to be honest, upfront, transparent, kind, ethical, professional, and know you’re leaving your animal with people who care about their patients and humans, then please come here. You won’t regret it.
The staff is excellent - super kind people. My kitty wasn't doing well and they were able to get me in a few days before her appointment was scheduled, which I really appreciated. I was able to openly discuss the costs of her treatment plan and what I was willing to do/able to afford. I was happy the vet understood and we opted for supportive care. Thank you.
Was traveling through portland when i needed to consult with a vet about my dog. They were able to see us and i was so impressed with this clinic. They had gotten and reviewed my dog’s records and were able to advise me. The clinic seemed super organized , sparkling clean, with kind snd helpful staff
Dr Laura Stuart Meriwether, Kristen, and the rest of the staff have cared for my family pets for years and have always been so gentle, caring, and responsive to our family's needs in every way. We moved away from the neighborhood, and we felt it would be prudent to find a vet in our new neighborhood. That turned out to be the wrong decision! We are thrilled that the crew have moved over to PVWC, closer to our new home, and we are making the drive up 82nd Avenue to reconnect with them and to continue to have them care for our pups. We recommend them wholeheartedly. They are genuine, skilled, knowledgeable, fair, and down-to-earth. Everything you could want or need from a pet-care provider. I am grateful for them.
