Brought my cat Zuko in same day after noticing skin sensitivity and black dots resembling flea dirt. From my first call to meeting Sami the technician to Dr. Singh the experience here has been warm and wonderful - highly recommend and will be making UPH my vet in Palo Alto!
Took my 7-month-old puppy in for a broken bone in his arm, and he ended up needing surgery. The staff was extremely helpful and empathetic throughout the entire process. Sami is always so sweet and helpful during his checkups—she gets us in as soon as possible if there’s an emergency and always makes Deuce feel comfortable. I’m so happy we found this veterinarian.
Accidentally called the wrong vet & fell in love with their tech (Sammy) so much that we immediately booked a visit in. The staff is fantastic and our cat was obviously more comfortable here than our previous vet. They’re extremely helpful, patient, and provide in house blood work so we can find out results quickly. Would recommend!
Everything else is good, no complaints. The blood work and x-ray were done onsite and super fast. Doctor and assistant explained the issues and treatment plan clearly. One minor thing, after first visit, we didn't do the lab work at the same day. When I booked another time to do the blood draw and x-ray. They made me to see the vet again and charged a follow-up fee. Advice is if you decide to do the lab work, finish within the same day of your visit. Otherwise, it will be another follow up fee even after one day.
Great experience! Super clean facility, fair and transparent prices, and wonderful staff. The doctor and assistant were so gentle which put my pet right at ease, and the vet took the time to answer all my questions. We are thrilled to have a non-corporate hospital in our neighborhood and would highly recommend them to friends and family!
Very nice newly built pet hospital. I took my Dog Jogi in the past week. He’s been having a hard time walking and the staff was very professional and helpful! They prescribed him some meds and he’s doing so much better and almost back to his normal self. They definitely helped him out so much and I am grateful! I think I have found my new Vet.
Amazing team, I am so thankful that I was able find Universal Pet Hospital. Approximately 6 months ago they treated our dog Kaya's eyelid tumor. It was benign, but had started growing rapidly and was causing obvious discomfort and eye discharge. We were very worried about her being able to keep normal eye function - it was almost 1 cm deep! This tumor has a fairly recurrence rate, and there have been no signs of remission, thank you so much! We were able to get booked on short notice and surgery got taken care of same day. The doctor was able to get it out cleanly without having to remove too much surrounding tissue. Her eye healed perfectly, it looks identical to her unaffected eye. I also feel comfortable saying the Kaya was treated very gently, no signs of fear/anxiety. In contrast she was rather standoffish and closed off after surgery at a different practice - I'm glad this time was not a negative experience for her. I also greatly appreciate that the cost of the surgery was incredibly affordable for such a high standard of care. The pricing of the services was clearly broken down and doctor was patient in explaining their importance. I'm grateful that I didn't feel the need to cut corners to make it more affordable. In contrast, when I reached out to our local big name vet hospital they immediately referred us to their vision specialist. They insisted on a $400 fee just to see Kaya. The cost was for a comprehensive vision exam, even though she has no sign of vision problems. This service was non-negotiable, take it or leave it. So thank you again, Universal Pet Hospital. Surviving as an independent provider in the Bay area seems difficult, and I'm glad I was able to support small business. I'm happy to recommend you to my friends and aquintances!
