Dr Wylie and the entire staff and nurses were so so sweet about my rabbit that was not doing well and ended up needing to be put down. It was the smoothest euthanasia and my boy Leonard was so comfortable in my arms when he passed. I'm so grateful for them making a tough situation a little bit easier. The staff was so kind, supportive and made sure Leonard wasn't in pain. Dr Wylie was one of the most compassionate, kind and sweet vets I've worked with and she and the nurses really took excellent care of my boy and even my family that was with me. I will be bringing any of my critters here for an emergency. Also! Not a lot of animal Emergency rooms will take care of rabbits and I was so relieved they were willing to help him.
This place. Great facility and *amazing* staff. Took great care of our dog Buddy today after he swallowed a piece of corn cob. Every single interaction was a good one, they really display care for pets and humans. I believe thier pricing is also fair, another good plus.
If I could multiply my stars over and over I would. Today was the second worst days of my life (first was when I lost my father). Losing my sweet boy has brought up a different form of grief, Dr. Lozano, Dr. Wylie, Dr. Bohn thank you so much for giving my boy a fighting chance. Nurse Alex and nurse Bailey thank you for your dedication and time spent making sure routine labs were done as well as managing his IV's. Kiki thank you for always offering us a snack or some water, and all the other wonderful angels checking in on us. Charlie put up a damn good fight, and for the first time in the days he was sick he purred and slow blinked in his final moments. It's like he was telling us it was okay. Nurse Bailey- Thank you so much for letting us bring him home, he did his rounds on all his favorite sunny spots and absorbed each one. His siblings all came up and sniffed him, they were so careful around him. Never will I be able to express the immense gratitude I feel, this place will be in my heart forever. You all will never be forgotten. Thank you for everything you do, the teamwork you all show is absolutely phenomenal! Thank you for letting all of us pet parents stay with our babies. You are all truly angels on earth.
My dog, Pepper, got on the counter and stole a rib from our bbq take out container. She had the whole rib down her throat before we could grab her. I called for some guidance and they suggested we come in. We came right to VEG and were met with the most helpful staff! From beginning to end, I felt welcome and cared for. Pepper ultimately had to undergo surgery to remove the rib bone, and everything from the price to the process was explained thoroughly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend VEG for anyone in the vulnerable position of needing help with a pet. Thank you all for your care and attention to a very special part of our family. ❤️
I was told by my primary vet to take me dog to the ER in Papillion after he was neutered and developed a hematoma that was progressively getting worse. A friend of mine told me that VEG ER (which is much closer) had just opened up so I called them. They asked what was going on with my dog and I explained his situation. They told me that the only thing the ER vet could really do is advise me to ice my dog’s area for 15 minutes at a time until the swelling goes down and continue with the meds my primary vet prescribed. They offered to still take a look at him just to confirm. I brought him in, they assessed him and confirmed their decision and went over my home care instructions. My dog still had a catheter in him and they removed it. They even gave me ice packs to use on him at home. They could’ve charged me for an exam but they did all this free of charge! They told me if things continued to get worse to bring him back in but spared me the exam fee and told me how to manage things at home. I appreciated their honesty, level of care and pure kindness they offered me especially knowing they weren’t charging me anything. I hope I don’t need to, but if I need ER pet services in the future I will absolutely be taking my boys there!
I came here after my primary vet recommended I find a place that had a vet in to do my cats enema (since my primary didn’t have one in the next day). I went that night and immediately after hearing what was going on, they said it was more serious than I was lead to believe and he may need surgery. They confirmed their suspicion with X-rays and saw that he needed emergency surgery that night because he wouldn’t be able to pass what was in his intestine. The entire night they spent making sure my cat and I had the best care imaginable with constant check ins, very clear directions on what was happening next, and ensuring we were both as comfortable as we could be. They were incredibly transparent with all they were doing and let me watch everything while explaining what it was for and why they were doing it. The power ended up going out for a short period of time while I was there and the amount of professionalism I saw was amazing. Everyone played their part to make sure all the animals there had what they needed and took extra measures to get things ready just in case it was out for a long time. I sat and watched his surgery with the comfort of knowing all the nurses were by my side and with their persistence to make the situation the best they possibly could. I would recommend this place to anyone in an emergency situation and would give more than 5 stars if i could
I can’t say enough good things about Veg ER. We had to bring our dog, Harper, in during a really scary situation, and from the moment we walked in, the staff was compassionate, attentive, and took our concerns seriously. Dr. Samantha Wiley was absolutely amazing. She acted quickly, explained everything clearly, and made sure we felt informed every step of the way. The veterinarians and technicians were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and gentle with Harper, which meant so much to us. You can tell they truly care about the animals they treat and the families who love them. Emergency situations are never easy, but this team made a difficult experience much more manageable. I’m so grateful for the care they gave Harper and especially thankful for Dr. Wiley’s expertise and compassion. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of urgent veterinary services.
