( He recently did a spay & dental on my newly retired greyhound. For cats guess what? They have their own cat clinic no doggie interaction needed to not stress out our cats. Dr. Hughes & Dr. Lake share that side. Only fitting as greyhounds are cat like in so many ways. If you are anywhere in the Metro make a trip here to support local family owned hospital that has amazing staff.

If you are planning to travel internationally with your dog, I highly recommend Blackbob Pet Hospital. I needed to prepare complex paperwork to take my dog to South Korea for a two-month trip, and KC managed the entire process very well. KC handled all the details, from researching the specific document requirements to managing the schedule and preparation. During the USDA health certificate endorsement process, KC communicated actively with the USDA to ensure my document arrived on time before our flight. Also, it was very easy to get an appointment because many of the veterinarians at the clinic are USDA accredited. The staff is professional, reliable, supportive as well. Autumn and Dr. Hughes were amazing with getting our cats and dog cared for! They told us exactly what the problem was and gave immediate course of action and were extremely friendly. They were very sweet had an open line of communication and reassured us with all of our pets. We are so grateful to both of them and recommend that everyone go get there animals cared for here. Everyone here always has the best attitude and will love your animals just as much as you love them!

I’ve been coming here for almost a year after moving to the area and was so sad to leave my previous vet, but they have made the transition great! They’ve been amazing with both my puppy and my senior dog, especially through her surgery in November. The vets and staff are always friendly, caring, and willing to answer any questions, which gives me so much peace of mind. You can tell they truly care about both the pets and their owners, and I’m so grateful to have found a vet office I trust so much!

I can’t thank Dr. Hughes enough for seeing and taking care of my baby girl Blair. They had us scheduled with an appointment that morning just shortly after I called. She was very quick to identify that she had an ear infection, and had the medicine she would be needing within minutes for us to take home. I felt Dr Hughes’s and her assistant were amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to take any cats to this facility. Thank you again for caring for my girl. Tina D. and Blair 🐾

I should start by saying my family has taking our pets to Black Bob for 22+ years. Some services may seem more expensive but you get what you pay for. The only time we tried another Vet I couldn’t even get that vet to trim my cats nails had to request shots like parvo vaccines, my husband thought it was cheaper but that’s only because they did the bare minimal including missing a serious ear infection we had to take that cat back 2x and it was still dismissed. Took to BlackBob and the vet listened and did an ear swab to see what was in there. Then showed us for ourselves so we were reassured we were not mistaken and there was an infection the cat suffered for 2 extra weeks because the other vet clinic refused to do his job and actually look in the ear, would never use that Vet again. Obviously we went right back to Black Bob. I have had to Euthanize 4 dogs over those 22 years. All living to be in their middle teens. Unfortunately had to put my yorkie Max to Sleep about a month ago. Dr. Lake and all the staff were so supportive. This has always been the case. One of my big dogs the staff paid for him to have cheeseburgers for his last meal till the kids got home from school and work and we could all say goodbye to him. . Every new fur baby is always treated as a prince or princess in their first visit to the doctor. Always took all my babies at the same appointment for nail trims with no complaints, at the time 3 dogs and 2 cats. Now I have a new Yorkie and he is on the facebook page. Buddy is so sweet and little, first time with teacup Yorkie. Thank you for Always being so good to my Animals. Shout out to Dr. Lake and of course Dr. Hughes is so wonderful, and we go back since the beginning 22 years. The Staff from Teri to Autumn. Autumn thanks for the help with my daughters’ cats and dog today and the flea/tapeworm issue all the shots and keeping everything straight. You made a chaotic issue much easier and calmer for my daughter her significant other and me and my husband today.
