Veterinary Specialty Referral Center of Manhattan

I would not return to this practice or recommend it to others. During my visit with Dr. Fiamma De Witte, I felt the communication was alarmist and the bedside manner was not reassuring. An approximately $7,000 exploratory surgery was recommended for my dog. After seeking a second opinion, my regular veterinarian did not feel that surgery was necessary. Communication and follow-up were also concerning. I was told the office would contact me with test results, but I had to make multiple follow-up calls myself. After several attempts to obtain the records, I was sent another patient’s report in error. This experience added significant stress during an already difficult time. Pet owners deserve clear communication, accurate record handling, and treatment recommendations they feel comfortable evaluating.

Dr. De Witte is amazing. I had to take my cat in for an emergency procedure and came here because they were highly recommended by my primary vet. VSRC saw me same day, were incredibly warm, professional, explained every step of the process to me and provided excellent care for my girl. They even helped me coordinate follow up appointments with a different specialist afterwards, which was incredibly helpful during a stressful moment for me and my cat. I would go back and highly recommend to a friend or family member.

I took my cat Rani to Veterinary Specialist Referral Center for an ultrasound with Dr. DeWitte and had a great experience. Dr. DeWitte was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, thorough, and her recommendations made complete sense for our situation. The staff were all very friendly and made the visit easy and stress-free. I was also pleasantly surprised that the cost was less than I expected. I’m very grateful for the care Rani received and would highly recommend Dr. DeWitte and her team.

Dr. Britton and her oncology team are the BEST! She has such a caring and kind demeanor that keeps one at ease when discussing cancer treatments for our pets. Her lovely team was nothing short of amazing with my Wall-E, they were gentle and patient as he isn’t the biggest fan of hospitals. What a rock star group of women! I’m so lucky to have found them and have them as part of my boy’s care team. 💜

I’ve been navigating a new diagnosis with my cat and VSRC has been incredible at helping me think through options and providing thorough care. I want to give a special shoutout to Iraj the vet tech who I can tell cares incredibly deeply about me and my cat both, which has made me feel so much less alone in the experience.

I was a little apprehensive about coming here because the practice hasn’t been open for long but I’m very glad I decided to go with them. Dr. Britton, Dr. De Witte, and their team of nurses and receptionists have been so helpful and compassionate with my cat’s care while we’ve been navigating a new diagnosis. I highly recommend them!

This place deserves 10 stars. I couldn’t have been happier with the way that they cared for my dog and the comfort they brought me during his procedure. Thank you thank you for taking such good care of Nixon. Thank you Dr. DeWitte and Jasmina and the rest of the team at VSRC <3
