Nashville Veterinary Dermatology

My dog was so itchy that he had to wear an e-collar full time for TWO YEARS before we found Dr. O’Neill. Otherwise he would scratch his neck and face to the point of bleeding. He had other vets stumped and the go-to itch solutions were not working for him. After working with Dr. O’Neill, his itch is controlled and his skin is as healthy as it can be. His quality of life has improved tenfold and we are so grateful for his fresh start! My dog is also old/blind/grumpy and can be difficult to work with, but everyone at ADC is extremely patient with him 🙂

Dr Ackermann is the best of the best! She took her time with us and explained everything and answered every question we had and even brought up a few things that will help our dog (Lady) live a longer and more healthy life. Very knowledgeable and patient staff. I’ve been taking my dog here for 5 years and anything you need they will bend over backwards for you and your fur baby. From helping you make meal plans for food allergies to coming up with plans for environmental allergies. Dr Ackerman loves what she does and puts the needs of the animal first

Great! Office is super clean and staff is incredible. We are new to Nashville and I was worried about finding a dermatologist for my chronic allergy dog. Dr O’Neill is very kind and listens to all of my concerns. She also listens to what I think will work for my dog and takes that into consideration for her treatment plan. Meredith is very polite and welcoming! Happy to have been recommended to NVD and my dog loves it there!

This is such a happy place! My dog is petrified of vets and he actually wagged his tail and gave the vet a kiss because she was so loving. Dr Mandy is very down to Earth and easy to talk to. I unfortunately will be a repeat customer (because of my dog's horrible skin), but I am so happy I found them - and Brody is happy too!

I have had Rocky, a 14 year old shih tzu, for 3 years. He came to me from a horrible and neglectful situation. He had gone untreated for chronic skin allergies and ear infections. Over the three years I have tried everything to help Rocky to no avail. We even considered surgery. Then one day it occurred to me that Nashville Veterinary Specialists must have a dermatologist. My vet referred us and Rocky went to see Dr. Ackerman. It took several visits but Rocky is now a different dog. His skin allergies are under control and his ear infections are manageable now. Rocky is no longer suffering. We owe it all to Dr. Ackerman. I highly recommend her and NVS in general.
