My family was in isle of palms for vacation and needed to see a vet for an abscessed tooth on our dog. Dr David Steele was extremely professional and helped us make sure our dog was well taken care of while still enjoying our vacation. Thank you Dr. Steele

Will not prescribe what two other vets have written for my 15 year old dog. He told me in the office the med I requested was not his first choice. My dog has seizures and stage 3 kidney failure after $100's of dollars spent at his clinic. No compassion only after the mighty dollar. Poor performance and I will tell all that inquire my horrible experience with the almighty God acting vet.

The staff is so attentive and Dr. Steele was wonderful with my dog. They weren't pushy with extra and unnecessary tests. Hands down the best experience at a vet I've ever had.

You can sit with him for ages about your pet. He is wonderful

The review below is off point. I'm a pharmacist, and I take my dogs to Dr. Steele. He is incredibly compassionate and helpful. He's always willing to sacrifice extra charges and he's always honest about costs and likely outcomes. Sooo many examples, but when I told him I could get a certain medication at a local pharmacy for $4, he was quite willing to send us with a paper Rx. His staff has never pushed us to buy on site what we might get for less in from another pharmacy. When our dog had a lipoma, he was up front about the possible paths, the costs, and the best and worst case scenarios as well as most likely. When he could get tested for whipworm but the test cost more than the treatment, he gave us the option to just treat empirically. I have NEVER felt that he put money above his patients. BEST vet ever. See all the reviews under advanced animal care if you think there's any chance the person below is right. I suspect that person wanted certain Rx. Dr Steele didn't think it in the best interest of the animal, and rather than caving in to make someone happy knowing he could see that patient over and over and give those same Rx and make more money, he did what was right for the animal even if it cost him a customer/patient and a bad review. I would never take my dogs anywhere else. And if you're looking for someone skilled in physical diagnosis and behavioral care, he's the best!
