Wonderful doctor and staff! My wife’s pets and our current dog have been coming here for over 30 years. Her dogs have lived happy, healthy, and long lives—17, 18, and even 19 years old. Highly recommend this vet.

Took my foster kitten for her first vet visit here. The staff was amazing and took great care of her. Jo, the vet tech was very helpful and friendly and my kitten loved her!

The STAFF WAS WONDERFUL! All I have to say is my faith in Veterinarians has plummeted to an all time low lately. I took my small 15 lb. dog to this clinic since my veterinarian was recently acquired by a Private Equity company and I will never support these vultures. Dr Yao wasn't there so another veterinarian saw my dog. The vet said it was her ACL-Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear. We didn't do x-rays since they don't do orthopedic surgery there and wherever I would take her they would want to do their own. There was no talk about physical therapy or any other treatment OTHER THAN SURGERY. $4000 SURGERY! So I took her to one of the surgeons they recommended who spent a whole 5 minutes with me saying the same exact thing; ACL tear and that was it! I scheduled the surgery but THANKFULLY I decided to look into it online before the appointment! I found a TON OF USEFUL information ONLINE. SURGERY ISN'T THE ONLY OPTION. I kept her contained and a couple of weeks later she healed and is PERFECTLY FINE NOW! Saved her and me 8-16 weeks of rehab and $4000!!!!! NEVER TAKE ANY VETS DIAGNOSIS AS FACT JUST LIKE IN HUMAN MEDICINE! GET A SECOND OPINION AND RESEARCH!

I started going to Dr. Yao when I moved to Miami Shores in March. One of my 2 cats is almost 16 & has monthly shots for arthritis. While Dr. Yao and many of the people in the office have been great, I was shocked today when a technician brought me a muzzle and instructed me to put it on my cat myself before she'd take her back for her shot. I'm not naive....I know she's a cat and has quirks. But I have personally witnessed her have her blood drawn and get shots (including by Dr Yao) with no issues. I've never had any vet or technician say they've had a problem with her & have usually heard the opposite....that she is well-behaved. So to me, this signals more of an issue with how this tech handled the cat than the cat handled the situation. If I had any concerns about my cat hurting someone, I'd be the first to take precautions. But this was over the top and obnoxious. Fortunately, my cat seemed less traumatized by it in the end than I was. But we will not be going back again.

I got referred by one of my neighbors and i’m glad I did. Dr. Yao’s clinic feels like a neighborhood vet vs the big corporate conglomerates. The front desk was nice and my appointment was easy to make and on time. The doctor didn’t push unnecessary treatments and I felt very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place!

Dr. Yao is friendly and professional. The staff is kind and pleasant. Had two of my dogs see Dr. Yao for 18years. I now have an almost 3year old dog and she has only been to Dr. Yao‘s office. They care and want their patients to be happy and healthy.✌🏽😁👍🏽

Great Doctor, kind, compassionate, calm, takes his time, and has helped my French bulldog all his life. Office and staff are also wonderful. Thank you.
