EdgeWater Pet Clinic

I take my pups here for their yearly checkups and vaccinations and I’ve always had good service from the staff and vet. Unfortunately I have to rate it low stars because the information they have about opening hours is misleading. Me and my bf had somewhat of an emergency this past Saturday because my 8 month old puppy woke up vomiting and with diarrhea and blood so we waited until 9am for them to open so that they can check my pup but they never opened, we waited and waited several minutes probably until 9:20am. I came back around 10am and nothing. I had to take her somewhere else to get her checked up.

Dr. Rafael has been seeing my cat Garfield for years and I appreciate him more than I can put into words. He is kind, attentive, honest, and truly listens. He treats Garfield with love, you can tell he really cares about his patients and for that, I trust him completely. We are so lucky to have him as our vet.

Wanted to echo some of the concerns I read about this business as I too experienced them. The actual Vet was great! He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable throughout the whole visit. The business practices on the otherhand, are a bit concerning. I was quoted one price, then after a test, I was told "we're changing the medicine so the quote is slighty changed" which I understand. I go to check out and it's about $50 higher than quoted? This wouldn't be a concern if I didn't already read negative comments expressing similar concerns. On top of that, I asked how to apply the medicine to ensure I will administer it correctly. The response I get was "it's just ointment".....okay? I understand "what" it is, I wanted to know HOW to apply it. Thankfully another Vet Tech read the room and taught me how to apply it. My experience wasn't bed per-say in terms of care, but echoing the business practices from previous reviews. UPDATE: The Vet called and explained to me what the Tech did not, and for that I appreciate the clarification and the apology. Upgrading my review to 4 stars because the care (the most important thing here) was indeed fantastic! I trust them with my fur baby.

Hi guys! Just sharing an incredibly experience I had with Dr. Rafa today. My baby and I went to visit this clinic for the first time because she got a piece of glass in one of her paw pads. From the moment we called in to see if they could see us today, Kimber was a sweetheart and helped us to be seen within the next hour. When we got there, we were warmly welcomed and saw the doctor right away. They were incredibly transparent with costs and all from the get go, which every pet parent can appreciate. When I called another clinic prior to Edgewater, they were quoting us 4-5x times what it cost at Edgewater Clinic and wanted to sedate my baby for something that was easily pulled with some lidocaine… Fully recommend coming to this clinic with good honest people who care about the pets and don’t put your babies and your pockets through unnecessary procedures.

I’ve been bringing my dog to Edgewater Pet Clinic for over 7 years now, and I can honestly say they’ve been exceptional every step of the way. The staff always treats us with kindness and professionalism, and the care my dog receives is truly top-tier. Whenever we’ve had an issue or concern, they’re always quick to respond and go above and beyond to help. I’ve recommended Edgewater Pet Clinic to all my friends and family, and every one of them has had a great experience as well. 10/10 — I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dog’s care.

Dr. Rafael Stredel is an exceptional veterinarian — deeply committed, friendly, and genuinely caring. He goes above and beyond to provide clear, professional, and thoughtful answers. You feel that he’s not only taking care of your pet but also of you. The entire clinic staff is simply wonderful — warm, attentive, and compassionate. It’s truly comforting to know your pet is in such good hands.

I want to thanks Dr Rafael not only for treating my cats for the past 8 years but also for last week care with Soxx which is doing great now! I would recommend him to anyone who loves your pet! Thank you!!! 🙏🏼
