West Main Animal Hospital

I've used this office for about 10 years. I'm currently managing my 13yr old shepherd mix arthritis pain and aging issues. We came in for a check up and while I was offered diagnostic packages I do not feel the need for unnecessary imaging and labs on a dog who cannot tolerate medications anyhow. They did not pressure me or make judgemental faces when I said no but suggested a minimal amount of something to manage pain if it becomes worse suddenly which I am happy to have on hand should the need arise. The Dr explained her current status, a likely diagnosis and we discussed supplements, diet and excercise to manage her pain and quality of life. I've had 2 pets euthanized here in their old age and when the time comes I will use this office again. They have always been helpful, professional and empathetic. My dog can be a bit of a handful with other dogs even now and I've never had any issue with her in this office. If you have a sparky dog I recommend letting them know and they will accommodate your check in to prevent incidents if necessary.

Dr. Rhiannon is fabulous. I also appreciate the fabulous front desk staff and the manager- Molly. My baby was diagnosed with Addisons shortly before we moved to the area- so I called around before the move to find a vet that would be comfortable with Addisons and found West Main, and boy am I glad I did! After my first visit I felt confident in my decision and for the first time in a long time, confident in our vet. Dr. Rhiannon was very knowledgeable, took her time with Luna and gave off a calming aura. I also witnessed Molly and the front desk staff very calmly and professionally handle a disgruntled individual who was threatening to come in to the building with Covid to "get back at (them)". Every time we go in- the staff greet Luna by name, are aware of our reason for coming beforehand and are prompt and professional. The techs are really great too- and I wish I had made a point to remember their names so I could thank them in this review. To the staff at West Main- thank you so so much. The staff is AMAZING!! My Fila loves them all! They are honest, don't recommend unnecessary tests, or procedures. Even when my normally well behaved Fila was having a rough day, they stepped in to help me, without hesitation. If you're looking for a low cost vet, they're not it. If you are looking for a vet, and staff skilled, compassion, and good with dogs, and cats, contact them. Highly recommend!!

Had a wonderful experience here. Was a first time client and they got me in within the same week for my sick pup. The doctor and the front desk staff were very kind. Prices were also affordable compared to many others in the area. While what they offered was very thorough, no services were pressured. They treated my little baby with the utmost care and will be returning. Definitely will be recommending! 🙂

Skyler was very kind and patient with my cat. It had been her first vet visit with me and she was very nervous and just trying to be invisible, but once I explained her behavior, soft tones were used in the exam room and she eased a bit. Im at ease as well with how fast they tested and gave me the results 😌 will definitely be going back when needed.

Veterinary staff were all compassionate, patient and empathetic with my nervous dog. The price was communicated clearly before any procedure was done, and fair.

Dr. Rhianna is very informative and truly cares about animals. Our experience with West Main is very positive and recommend West Main to anyone that is looking for a new doctor.
