I cannot say enough wonderful things about Alderwood Companion Veterinarian Hospital. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They treated both us and our pet with so much kindness and compassion, which made a stressful situation so much easier. The veterinarians were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in explaining everything. They took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure we felt comfortable with every step of the process. It was clear that they truly care about the health and well-being of every animal that comes through their doors. The hospital itself was clean, organized, and had such a calm and comforting atmosphere. You can tell they take pride in providing excellent care and creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. It’s hard to find a veterinary team you trust completely, but Alderwood Companion Veterinarian Hospital whas absolutely earned that trust. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, professional, and outstanding veterinary care. They go above and beyond, and we are so grateful for everything they have done for us.

I truly trust that VCA Alderwood has my cats’ best interests in mind, and I enjoy most of the staff, but I’m sorry if anyone has to deal with the receptionist Lola. Anyone else I’ve interacted with thus far has been gracious, patient, and understanding. Any conversations I’ve had with her have been clipped, terse, and impatient. In a stressful situation I was at the verge of tears from her callous attitude while speaking with me. I hope I’ve just caught her on bad days… every time I’ve interacted with her. Her demeanor sets a bad impression for the entire office. But on a brighter note, here are some pictures of my lovely cats.

Would give them 7 out of 5 stars. They were so nice and you could tell they were there to help sick animals not take advantage of people that were vulnerable. Completely went above and beyond to help my pup

We love everyone here. Very helpful, patient with everybody coming and going. We even recently had to say goodbye to our senior boy Charlie and they couldn't have been more helpful. I will never take any pet anywhere else.

Had an emergency with my 5 year old maltipoo Gucci. Staff was able to get me in the same day for an appointment with my vet. Staff does an excellent job at reaching out for follow-up on your pets condition. Super sweet and caring staff. They really do care about your pets.

Great service. The staff is always friendly and happy to see my pup. I trust them with my pup and they always return him happy and healthy. He's and hand full (Aussie border mix) and they never seem to have an issue. Dash, my pup, not long after being nueterd here.

My first experience with Jill James was extremely disappointing. I arrived about 10 minutes late, and instead of being treated with understanding, I felt I was met with a rude and unfriendly attitude from the moment I walked in. The entire visit felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. When I explained that I didn't want my puppy sitting on the exam counter because of concerns about bacteria and cleanliness, James seemed irritated and gave me attitude with side eyes and cleaned the table rather than addressing my concerns professionally. Throughout the appointment, I felt rushed, as if getting me out the door was more important than providing quality care. I also asked several questions about my puppy's health, but instead of receiving detailed explanations, I was simply told to look at a flyer. As a pet owner, especially during a first visit, I expected better communication and more guidance. A veterinarian should take the time to educate and reassure clients, not brush off their concerns. What made the experience even more unprofessional was hearing negative comments about staff members and trainers during the appointment. That is not something clients should be witnessing in a professional veterinary setting. Overall, I left feeling frustrated, uncomfortable, and disappointed. A veterinarian can appear friendly at first, but what matters is how they treat clients and their pets during the appointment. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet even basic expectations for professionalism and customer care. I would not return, and I cannot recommend this clinic based on my experience. If I could give zero stars, I would.
