This place was incredible. I have a 16-year-old Maltese who had a huge mass on her belly. I took her in and they were able to do surgery the same day and gave me an incredible price. She’s fully recovered and extremely happy! they made this so easy and I’m just so grateful that it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Please check this place out if you’re looking for affordable vet care!

Brought my dog in for an urgent visit on a Sunday morning. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Dr Barrera was very kind and explained what was wrong with my dog. He even explained the test results from our previous vet, so we could understand what was going on. She has pancreatitis and was in rough shape. We have her on a treatment plan and I'm hopeful she'll recover soon. After my experience at Affordable Animal Hospital, I will not be going back to our previous vet.

The pricing is wild! A dental cleaning for a cat including anesthesia, and exam is $1,020. Any needed extractions are an additional fee of $500 per tooth. So if your car or small dog has say 4 extractions that putting your out the door charge at around l 3 thousand dollars. I know that a larger bread or dog would have additional charges as well. I know we all want to do everything we can for our fur babies but the cost is not very affordable. I wish they listed pricing online transparency is always a good thing. I imagine they would offer payment plans? I hope they do, I just wanted to share this information with the public so anyone curious about dental cleanings can find this information before taking their animal child to this location.

I had a very disappointing experience at Affordable Animal Hospital Silver Lake. First of all, the name "Affordable" is very misleading. In my experience, the prices were actually higher than average, and the final bill felt inflated with several items and procedures that did not seem necessary. It gave the strong impression that the clinic is more focused on increasing the bill than on the actual wellbeing of the animals. Instead of recommending only what was truly needed for the pet, it felt like they were trying to add as many charges as possible to make the invoice higher. When we asked questions and decided not to proceed with the full treatment plan the doctor recommended, the attitude changed immediately. The doctor became very closed off and essentially told us that if we didn’t want to pay for everything there, we should go somewhere else to get the medications. There was no effort to work with us, explain alternatives, or help find a reasonable middle ground. A veterinary clinic should care first about the health of the animal and be willing to guide pet owners through different options. Unfortunately, this experience felt far more focused on money than on the wellbeing of the pets.

The support staff is less than efficient while one is rude and condescending at best. Dr B is knowledgeable but that doesn't make up for inept front staff capability. Making me run 60 miles and 3 visits after arranging appointments requiring changes is totally ridiculous. Good for simple routine issues but not for more advanced issues. Not that "affordable" once additional testing and medications are added.

The staff is super friendly and have tons of information on how to save money and what procedures and specials they have. They are friendly to the owners and animals. My 15 year old Shih Tzu went in for dental surgery and it’s only been 3 days and he is back to his old self. So happy and will continue to take Wyatt here.

My dog is very high anxiety, barking , anxious and whining. They took amazing care of him , handled him very well and he came out of the vet feeling better than he has ever experienced in a vet office. Super grateful for such a great team that assisted Kobe!
