They take wonderful care of my babies! They are kind and caring to all of their patients and families. The place is always clean, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.

We love this place! My wife and I have been bringing our dog for years to Nelson Animal Hospital. Great staff, very attentive, and the best part is, they treat our dog with the level of compassion and care we all would desire for our furry family members. It's rare to find a veterinarian facility that understands how important your pet is to you. I would give it 10 stars, check them out!

We have been going to Nelson Animal Hospital for over 40 years. Our current furry family member recently ate a sock. I immediately texted the clinic and without any hesitation, was told I could bring him in. They worked their magic and he was free of the sock. He loves going to see the doctors (I believe he's seen them all) and has no fear, no matter what procedure is required. I highly recommend Nelson Animal Hospital for your non-human loved ones.

I want to love this clinic and I have no gripe against the staff. But they are a clinic they are not a full service veterinary hospital. I have had two dogs visit here from puppyhood to passing on and both times I felt that they took the approach of keep treating until we can’t. And both times I sought alternative care too late. I do not believe this was the fault of the staff but purely stems from the business model. In the future I would take my pet here for vaccination or a small injury. But I would also be affiliated with a more advanced care provider and take them there when able. I would not recommend this office as a primary care provider for your animal.

One of our dogs fell seriously ill with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis with signs of pancreatitis. I took him to the ER at the VRCC since he is a current patient of theirs, but the estimate was more than I could cover due to recent events that wiped out our emergency funds. They did what they could for him that night and the next day I called multiple vets I've been to including our regular vet. Unfortunately every location was booked out and our pup needed help. I was recommended to call Nelson Animal Hospital (NAH) by my wife. NAH was also booked out, but understood how sick our boy was and worked out trying him as a drop-off so he could be seen between appointments. He ended up needing antibiotics and three days of fluid treatments. The doctors and staff at NAH are amazing and truly care for their patients! If it was not for them our boy would not have made it very far. They have made new friends in us and we are grateful for how well they treated our pup.

Our dog Lady Bug was a patient here since we adopted her almost five years ago when she was 6 years old. Two years ago, she was diagnosed with two tumors and we knew we were on limited time with our girl. Dr. Seaton, the other veterinarians, and their entire staff provided the best of care for Lady Bug. We were so fortunate to have almost two extra years with her because the care she received. We have never had a single negative experience with Nelson Animal Hospital. We recently said goodbye to our pup. The entire team made an awful experience the best it could possibly be, and showed us empathy, care, concern, and professionalism every step of the way. We feel so fortunate to have had this organization with us as we cared for our dog. We will be back when we are ready for a dog again. Nothing but wonderful things to say about Nelson Animal Hospital.

Our dear tabby cat has been a patient here since May 2007, back when Dr. Nelson himself was still practicing. Ever since he left, this place has gone completely downhill. The staff is now extremely glib, inconsiderate, and shockingly unprofessional. We recently brought in our very nervous, skittish cat and politely asked a vet tech—who was yelling—to lower her voice. Her response? "I can’t be quieter because I’m sick." I’m sorry… what? That’s the level of care and empathy they offer frightened animals now? And the front desk is somehow even worse. We called today, after 18 years as loyal clients, asking if they could possibly fit us in for end-of-life care. A truly devastating call to make. Their response: "Nope, we’re booked." No "I’m so sorry." No compassion. No attempt to help. Just a cold, dismissive "we’re full." It is painfully clear they simply don’t care—especially once they realize they won’t be making any more money from you. After nearly two decades, this is how they treated us. Disgusting. Unfeeling. Look elsewhere for care.
