Our dog, Dennis, had both of his TPLO surgeries at CVSG. Dr. Lewis and her entire staff came highly recommended by friends, and we were more than happy to make the drive from the Roaring Fork Valley to Littleton. From start to finish, Dr. Lewis and the whole team made the process as simple and stress-free as possible, and our best boy is now nearly healed from his second surgery. We can’t thank everyone at CVSG enough for the care, kindness, and expertise they showed Dennis. We wouldn’t take our dogs anywhere else.

Our dog was bit in the face by a rattlesnake this week. We were referred to CVSG by our regular vet for emergency care. CVSG was up front about costs, and even gave us a refund from the initial amount as our dog responded well and was able to come home earlier than expected. Emergency vet care is expensive and normally unplanned for. It was nice to know CVSG gave our dog great care while also minimizing the length of stay based on her individual situation. I am so impressed they refunded part of our initial payment vs finding a reason to keep her and hence keep the money we had already paid. No one wants to go to an emergency vet, but if you need to, it’s great to know they are caring for your pet with integrity.

We’re incredibly thankful for the amazing team at CVSG. Our pup Apollo recently had to have a cystotomy, and from the moment we walked through the door, we felt supported and cared for. Dr. Beth Lewis did an incredible job and treated our boy with such compassion. You can tell she and the whole staff truly love what they do. This wasn’t our first time going through this either. Years ago, they cared for our late pup Budah when he had the same issue. It meant a lot to be back in a place that not only gave us comfort before, but showed us once again just how much heart they put into everything they do. Apollo has been in great spirits since coming home and we’re already seeing signs of a smooth recovery. We’re so grateful to Dr. Lewis and everyone at CVSG for taking such good care of both our boys. You’ll always have a special place in our hearts.

Our puppy was transferred to CVSG for parvo treatment. This was the scariest thing as a pet parent and they made the process as easy as they possibly could. They were amazing at explaining the entire process and keeping us updated on our baby when we couldn’t be with him. I highly recommend CVSG and their staff! Thank you for all you do ❤️

They kept me well informed of all of my options and allowed me to visit my boi when he had to be admitted. The fact that, when he didn’t improve when at home and I had to bring him back in 8 hours after, they didn’t charge a second exam fee when he got admitted was a godsend. The updates that I got and being able to offer him food and help him relax during his stay was amazing. Being able to collaborate with his doctors to get him home, comfortable, and in a healthy state was beneficial to his care.

I had the upmost best experience the 2 times I’ve been here. Extremely knowledgeable Doctors and staff. Extremely courteous from the moment you get into the door to the moment you leave. Nothing better knowing your loved one is in good hands when going through medical issues. Will forever recommend this place in a time of emergency for your pets!

Our family brought our Labrador, Wally, to CVSG after transfer from another emergency hospital for what ultimately turned out to be a catastrophic abdominal emergency. Sadly, Wally did not survive. Despite that outcome, I wanted to recognize the care we received from Dr. McIntyre and the CVSG team. From the moment Wally arrived, it was clear that everyone understood how critically ill he was. The team moved quickly, performed additional diagnostics, stabilized him as aggressively as possible, and prepared for emergency surgery. What stood out most was Dr. McIntyre's thoughtfulness and honesty. In the midst of an incredibly emotional and chaotic night, he took the time to explain what was happening, answer difficult questions, and speak to us with compassion. He never gave us false hope, but he also never made us feel abandoned. As we've reviewed Wally's records and tried to understand what happened, it has become increasingly clear how sick he already was by the time he arrived at CVSG. He was in profound shock from a rapidly progressive intestinal vascular catastrophe. While every pet owner naturally wonders whether something different could have changed the outcome, Dr. McIntyre was candid that Wally's condition was likely beyond saving by the time he reached specialty care. Looking back, I appreciate that honesty. One thing I will say is that CVSG clearly had the capability to handle a true surgical emergency. Knowing what I know now, if I were faced with another catastrophic emergency requiring immediate specialty surgery, I would not hesitate to bring my pet there. While I don't believe anyone could have saved Wally by the time he arrived, I take comfort in knowing he was in the hands of a highly capable emergency and surgical team during his final hours. The outcome was devastating, but I never felt that the team lacked urgency, skill, or compassion. Sometimes medicine reaches its limits despite everyone's best efforts, and unfortunately I believe that was the case with Wally. Thank you to Dr. McIntyre and the entire CVSG staff for doing everything they could for Wally and for treating our family with kindness during the worst night of our lives.
