I was recommended by Connie Carlyle who has had wonderful experience with Dr. Wilcox and Dr. McClain. We needed to find a new vet and a new experience. By we, I mean Team Cedar! Both Cedar and I needed treatment because I believe you should be heard, not dismissed when explaining what you need in a visit. I am grateful we could get in for an appointment the next day! Dr. Wilcox came in an immediately sat down on the floor to meet Cedar which put me at ease and Cedar LOVED the attention! Cedar is my only family member. ( No human family left.) She is very important to me and I feel the care we received was what I have been looking for all along! Dr. Wilcox patiently answered all of my questions and gave me equal attention and care as she did Cedar. My mind was at ease with the treatment she suggested. I did appreciate the non-judgmental attitude about the raw diet I feed and vaccine protocol we currently follow. There was no mention of trying to get me change what I am currently doing. I am grateful to feel supported at last! Thank you so much for the wonderful care! I highly recommend AHCL!

We needed to find a new vet who could better meet the needs of our senior dog. AHC was recommended by multiple friends and we are so thankful we found them. Everyone involved was professional and thorough and you can tell the staff loves what they do. We look forward to continuing our care here and would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone who is wanting the best for their pets

We took our two rescue kittens to get their exam & shots. Very impressed from the moment we entered. The front desk staff was friendly & professional. Dr. Wilcox and tech vets were impressively knowledgeable about new research when we asked questions. And more importantly so caring & loving with the little kittens who did great with her. All areas were very clean.

Best vet in the state in my opinion. I drove 35/40 minutes because I haven’t trusted anyone else with my babies. Dr. Wilcox has been the main vet of our chowchow Luna for 10 years, our kitty tux before he passed of natural causes, and now our two kitties as well. She is the best around and has a wonderful nurse and front desk staff who are super helpful and friendly. We recently moved out of state and nobody compares to them.

We had an emergency office visit and, being new to the area, I was really anxious about finding a vet with availability before the weekend. We’ve been looking for a new clinic since our move, and I was so relieved when I called and the woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful—she was able to get us in the same day! That level of responsiveness and compassion meant so much. As a nervous dog mom, I always stress when something’s wrong, but from the moment we walked in, I felt like we were in great hands. Dr. Nancy McClain was absolutely amazing. She took her time during the exam, explained everything clearly, and walked me through a thoughtful and thorough treatment plan. I never felt rushed and felt completely confident that my dog was receiving excellent care. The overall experience—from the customer service to the pricing—was fantastic. I’m so happy we found this clinic and will definitely be transferring all of our dog’s care here moving forward. Highly, highly recommend this wonderful team!

I love Dr Wilcox and all the staff at Animal Health Center of Leawood. They always go above and beyond and I trust them completely with our pups, Sophie and Finn! The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Dr. Wilcox cares deeply about her patients and is very good at recognizing issues and coming up with the best path for treatment.

I find the staff friendly and I think Dr. Wilcoxin is very personable and seems to love what she does. I have recommended her to my friends who live near the clinic. I think she is very reasonable in her recommendations for my dog.
