I can’t say enough good things about this vet office. The staff is always so kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They take the time to explain everything clearly and never make me feel rushed or judged for asking questions. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable vet.

I rarely leave reviews for anything. I think I’ve left 3 or 4 in my entire life, but I have to rave about this vet. Their communication is phenomenal. They always follow up with email and text and seem to genuinely care about each pet. They also respond very quickly. I left a voicemail and got a text to follow up within a few minutes. I’ve had two cat emergencies and each time they made it a priority to see my cats despite not being an emergency vet. Truly, if you want your pet to be taken care of like they’re family, bring them here!

We appreciated Union Hill Animal Hospitals' hospitality with our large breed female dog named, Echo. Echo was very afraid and we wanted to get her caught up on her shots and treat a swollen nipple from nursing puppies. We appreciated how understanding the staff was towards are very nervous Echo. We were also able to schedule a time to get her fixed and we are continuing treatment for her swollen nipple with antibiotics and laser treatments. Echo weighs 95 pounds and is very gentle with humans but becomes nervous in new places even though we have traveled with her quite a bit in our large van, so we were greatful the staff understood her nervous behavior and somewhat unwillingness to stand on the scale. The Doctor and Nurse seemed very informed and we feel like our best friend Echo is in the best hands possible. Echo is an amazing mama to her five puppies and we have loved every moment with her.Thank you Union Hill Animal Hospital we strongly recommend them to pet lovers in need of animal medical help. My experience with them has been lovely so far. Our first appointment was great and they seemed very knowledgeable about how to work with cat behaviors. There were 3 people in the room to help my kitty and they made sure to be gentle with her and give her treats and a Feliway blanket during her appointment. When I got home, I realized my other cat was sick and they were able to reschedule him for the next business day and provided some advice over the phone. Before doing any treatment, they asked for my consent and gave me a cost estimate which was so helpful. They’re located right on the streetcar - this might help some people with accessibility (not sure if you can bring pets on the streetcar tho). Overall, 5 stars from me

One of my dogs has severe vet anxiety, and they have always treated him with so much care, patience, and understanding. They take the time to work with him and make sure he feels as comfortable as possible. I now have three dogs, and they all go to Union Hill because I trust them completely. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the animals they serve. Highly recommend. Our third vet over the years & by far the best. We have 3 rescue pups & they do everything they can to make our anxious babies feel comfortable. They’ve helped our chubby boy lose weight, helped us stay on top of preventative tests, perform dental cleanings, & treat our 15y/o terrier’s arthritis. Dr. Damon Locke truly has a passion for his work & all of the techs have been so kind & helpful over the past few years.

Such a great experience. Was able to schedule an appt quickly. Staff went the extra mile to make sure my new puppy was comfortable and had a good experience. Would recommend to any pet owner in Downtown KC.
