PRKC staff did a great job taking care of Lady Bug! Truly appreciative of all that they did. Special shout out to Kaylah who was thorough and detailed about the process and making sure I understood the process as well as the directions for before and after care. She truly cares about the patients (pets) and the owners. She went above and beyond and it doesn't go unnoticed. We wouldn't have been able to get everything accomplished so quickly if not at all without her! - Toi
First of all I would like to say Thank You pet Resource center of Kansas City. For doing a wonderful job with my Boy Bubba Jr. I was very nervous about leaving him to be neutered and shots and being chipped. And also for the medicine to help him with his allergies. I am disabled and caring full time for my 84yr old mother and he is our support dog . And all the staff was very nice and I would recommend them for anybody that wants Great care for your animal. Thanks again and God Bless all of you. Here is a picture of him taking a nap.
The Pet Resource Center of KC is an extraordinary organiztion! I am always so impressed with all the staff & volunteers working long hours to help us with all of our pets. The young man at the check-in station for Spay/Neuter day is amazing. He is extremely efficient with checking in all of us, getting the paperwork completed and keeping the lines moving forward. Thank You for all you do for our city and our pets.
I have never had to leave my Great Dane/Cane Corso mix anywhere so I was pleasantly surprised how gentle the handlers are & happy they let me take him in myself. He was groggy after surgery but handled everything like a champ! They were very attentive to Zeus being dog reactive & I was very impressed with how they compensated my pup by respecting his issues. He is recovering great.
They are great. As quick as they can be, but expect possibly a 30 min wait just because of the volume of pets. All the employess seem very nice and actual care about the pets. They also have financial assistance options for those that need a little help.
Fantastic place to get budget friendly animal care of all kinds from flea protection to vaccinations and more. What a wonderful service they are providing. We are on a fixed income, so rescuing two brother cats was a reasonable cost to get their rabies shots. They were in and out so quick!
Macie Gray (or Gracie May to some) is a kitten that attached to us when we first moved to KC from DSM in October. She was a stray that looked emaciated and little. She just wanted food and I cannot say no but as anyone could guess she latched on to our family. She looked to be about six months old at the time and then a couple weeks later showed up and was DEFINITELY pregnant. We took her to the Pet Resource Center because we had just moved, didn't know any vets in the area, and wanted to make sure she wouldn't die from bearing children. OMG did this place take care of us. It is a long wait. Please bear that in mind. But I have gone to low cost vets before who churn them out and don't give you any follow up or idea how your baby is going to survive. Macie just had an abscess on her tail but it was super painful and she wasn't able to eat. I truly thought she might die. The Pet Resource Center loved on my baby so much. They treated her sore carefully and even gave is follow up meds for an EXTREMELY reasonable price. Yes, it took a long time. No, I do not think anyone else could have watched out for her better - even paying full price. I am so appreciative. Thank you all!!
