If you’re on the fence, JUST GO. I am so grateful this place exists. And no, they did not ask me to write this review. Proper bunny care is hard to come by, especially when it comes to exotic vets. I know that at Windward, my bun is in the best hands. Our first visit was immediately comforting — seeing so many other bunny patients in the waiting room made me feel at ease. Not to mention the bunny photos and art throughout the office as well 💕 From the front desk to the medical team, everyone there is lovely and incredibly knowledgeable. Before any work is done, they itemize all costs so there are no surprises. They also take the time to truly listen and walk you through what’s necessary, along with exactly what needs to be done at home. My bun has received multiple wellness checks, vaccines, a low-cost spay, and most recently, a nasal flush. I’m beyond grateful for the care and work being done here, and I’d recommend WAH to any bunny parent without hesitation.

I had a great experience with Windward Animal Hospital after they neutered my bunny. The whole team was kind, patient, and very reassuring throughout the process. They explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable leaving my little one in their care. My bunny’s recovery has been going really well. I truly appreciate how attentive they were and how smoothly everything went. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a vet that is professional, compassionate, and great exotic animals.

I feel at ease when bringing my rabbit to Windward Animal Hospital. It is a bit far from me, but worth the trip knowing that my rabbit is well taken care of by an attentive, experienced staff. Dr. Colby is beyond your traditional rabbit savvy vet. Though he is very busy- you can easily see- he takes time to talk to you and tell you what's going on with your furry, scaly, and feathery loved ones.

Dr Colby operated on and extracted a tumor from my guinea pig when no other vet would touch her. Without him she wouldn't be here. Things come in pairs and then dr Colby saved my dogs life. I don't write a lot of reviews but this doctor is a gift from above for your pet. He is a must visit.

I took my exotic pet here recently and this veterinarian was awesome. He is really knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. I have no problem saying that he saved my pet’s life! Highly recommend for anyone in the Atlanta area with exotics!

Dr. Scales and his nurses and admin staff were so compassionate and knowledgeable about our sick rat. They gave us good advice and the meds and food we needed to help our rat get better, then followed up two days in a row to make sure he was doing better. I would absolutely recommend this vet and practice. Our rat also didn’t seem traumatized at all after the appointment, like a different rat had been after seeing a different vet in Decatur. This indicates gentle and caring handling and treatment.

From someone scared to get a spay to a now reoccurring patient. Despite the hassle of an hour drive, I’ll only go here. I stayed up the night before her spay reading the reviews here. So if that’s you, here’s my piece: I rescued my bunny July 7th from the street. Many other vets told me she likely had the big C or a heart issue and to just put her down. I handled most of it via the ER. A few months later I was ready to get her spayed and signed up for their low cost spay. I was terrified of taking her since other vets said she clearly had heart issues, there was a chance she wouldn’t make it during the spay. I expressed my concern (a ton) and they reassured me she would be evaluated prior to the spay. Not only did she make it but them doing internal stitches made the recovery WAY easier!!! She had only been seen there for that. I had issues with a bunsitter misfeeding my baby and I called this vet and instead of making me drive an hour and spend $$$ - they guided me through at home care! I’ve seen reviews saying they were money hungry but I’ve experienced quite the opposite. She’s been seen for vaccine too now and a different issue. They were extremely kind, caring, and adapted to what I could afford at the time. They work with GHRS meaning they see significantly more bunnies than other vets - they were able to correct lots of misinformation I had been given by vets prior (including fixing her diet) and they are able to offer low cost versions of stuff that cost way more elsewhere. The vet was so patient with me pouring out questions because I was so worried about her. They supplied me with resources and tons of advice! I love that I can call and get free vet advice too. They’re caring and check in on her as well. Very happy with them and thankful!! Pictures of her post spay happy as can be! Shaved belly and still doing her flops! I feel bad seeing other’s post about issues post spay and just become more and more thankful for the internal stitches. Can’t wait to rescue a friend for her soon and adding him as a patient to Windward! Massive thank you to all of the staff there. You are all so knowledgeable , helpful, and extremely accommodating. The fact I can call in and get immediate answers because even the receptionist is knowledgeable? Incredible. Thank you for taking care of my baby and helping me learn how to take care of her. So thank you from monopoly and I (however she still insists she’s not "chubby" she just has lots of fur 😂🩵)
