Northwood Animal Hospital

We’ve taken our dog here for 18 years. Our experience has always been positive with helpful staff and great care. We had to put her down last week. It was so hard for us but everyone there was amazing. So much love and caring for our sweet pup by everyone there. From the call to schedule her final appointment with Emma to her final moments with her Vet and her assistant, they made this difficult experience much easier for us. I highly recommend Northwood Animal Hospital and someday when we’re ready to bring home another pup, we will be back here to ensure they get the best possible care.

I cannot recommend Northwood Animal Hospital enough, especially for those with small pets. My bunny Artemis has been seen by both Dr. J and Dr. Roberts, and they are both incredible, knowledgeable, and compassionate vets. I also have nothing but glowing praise for all the vet techs and front desk staff there. Kate and Minerva especially are so sweet and responsive. Everyone here has so much patience and grace. Unfortunately, my sweet girl passed away during an amputation surgery, but she was older and her paw had become infected. I know that the staff did everything they could…sadly it was just her time. I am so, so grateful to the care that was given to her in the time we spent going to Northwood.

I bring Biscuit here every year for his checkup and vaccines. The staff is very friendly and professional (Dude, the front desk supervisor came over to greet me as I was seated in the waiting room), and the vets and vet techs are very knowledgeable and gentle with pets (even though Biscuit kicked a vet tech and had to be bunrritoed once). I am immensely appreciative that they did not ban him from the property for his poor behavior. I took him in for a nail trim because he is very tends to be very uncooperative. He was in and out very quickly. Upon returning home, Biscuit made it clear in no uncertain terms that he was not pleased (he dramatically kicked the carpet at me) but they did an excellent job on his mani-pedi. 10/10, would highly recommend for your precious bunbuns.

What a great place with an amazing doctor! I highly recommend this clinic. I bring my cats here for their routine exams, and every visit has been a great experience. The team is professional, caring, and truly attentive. I’m always confident my pets are in good hands.

Our family have been going to this office for a few years now and I have to say that they are all from the Doctors and Staff are all wonderful. Our first visit was an emergency and from day one we were sure to always return. That’s how much we trust them. They’re knowledgeable and help you understand each course of treatment for our furbabies. They’re helpful in getting us a faster appointment during emergencies. They are compassionate and you can feel that they are animal lovers. After losing our Sparky they’ve been very attentive and thoughtful with remembering her. We are so touched. Our furbabies are very fortunate to have found a good doctor.

My bébé bunny Jameson and I looove the staff at Northwood Animal Hospital! Though it’s located in a teeny tiny plaza, I love coming here because the customer service is amazing! Setting up an appointment is as easy as making a phone call. They’ll ask if you’re a new or returning member and then discuss reasons for your visit. For your first visit, they charge you 50% of the standard price which is great. Due to Covid restrictions, only one person may accompany the pet into the room so family must wait in the lobby or in the car. Dr. Roberts is a very well-known vet who specializes in rabbits and she is super sweet! She always calls Jameson "the perfect size" and makes sure to give great pets and snuggles before finishing up the check-up. There is a new requirement to have the RHDV2 vaccine even for grooming services but since it’s safer for your bunny, I opted for this anyway. The vaccine is $45, the nail trim is $20-25, and the visit is $80-90 (can’t remember). Overall, this is our primary choice in Orange County and I can’t speak highly enough about how great the team is!

I just wanted to provide an updated review for this wonderful veterinary practice. I have been bringing my bunny here for at least the last 8 years for everything from surgery, to routine checkups, to bouts of stasis, to vaccines, bloodwork, and nail trims. The entire staff at Northwood are amazing, kind, and wonderful with bunnies. It can be challenging to find a practice where the vets and staff are truly bunny experts, which they absolutely are here. I would recommend Northwood to anyone with a bunny. I trust them completely and they are always so gentle and careful with my bunny, Holly, who is now a senior but still acts like a teenager! The prices are absolutely reasonable for the care and level of expertise they provide. I recently moved but will continue to make the 1 hour drive to Northwood for routine care rather than go anywhere else. Thank you, Dr. Roberts, Dr. J, Minerva, and all of the wonderful sweet vet techs (they are honestly the best)!
