Cat Clinic of Iowa City

This is the best vet clinic I have ever encountered. I use to live in Houston, TX and they treated my animals as an assembly line and got revenue but not the care I got here. Maggie was put to sleep by this clinic and Dougie is in their care. I love Dr. Anna Lyons. She is amazing!!!! And so is her staff. I would recommend to anyone who wants the care their pet deserves.

Every person in the building, from the front desk to the manager to the vet and the vet techs are extremely kind! I felt very welcome, and they were all so nice to my good boy Bug! Very reassuring and kind to me as an anxious cat dad, and so sweet and gentle with Bug! He loved having a treat to take home, and he loves his new toy! I feel much better knowing just how great the Cat Clinic is :3c

I’ve taken both my cats here since I moved to the area and both me and them have loved it. Every single person I’ve met here has been super kind and gentle with my cats. The last time I went some people even remembered me and my cats. Additionally I am a super anxious person and thus have called/emailed worrying about my cats multiple times and they have been very helpful contacting me back and reassuring me that I am overreacting. I can not recommend them enough and I will continue to take my cats here for as long as I live here. Xena and Switzerland give five stars as well.

The team at The Cat Clinic is the best!!!! They are always kind and helpful. They provide the support needed for a pet with chronic health issues and provide options for treatment. They have been excellent with our rescued senior cats. Also, they treat you like family rather than a number. I can’t say enough good things about this clinic.

I acquired a chronically ill senior cat almost 1 year ago as my first pet. With all of his issues, I felt that taking him to feline specialists would be best for him. After becoming frequent fliers, some of the staff know us by name as soon as we walk in. I have always been treated with the utmost care and respect during every visit and stop in for medication or food. I cannot thank the staff and Dr. Lyons enough for helping me bring new life into my old guy.

*this is my first ever google review. I unexpectedly had to put my kitty down after having him for 16 years (since I was 8 years old) The staff was so accommodating and kind to me during this really difficult time. They never made me feel embarrassed about how emotional I was, and I could tell that they really cared about me and my cat. They made sure to never tell me what was the right choice but rather gave me all the options so I could make my own choice. Sadly, I did have to put him down. It was as comfortable as it could be for the both of us. They let me hold him as long as I wanted and the clinic room had candles lit while I said goodbye. I am so thankful for the cat clinic making this transition as easy as it could be. After his passing I received the kindest letter in the mail. Handwritten and hand drawn, they even got his little white toes right ❤️ It really meant a lot to me that they realized how important my cat was to me. All I can say is thank you. 100% recommend.

This clinic is incredible! Not only is the desk staff super friendly, so are the techs and Dr's. I called in a panic to have my kitty seen (she had an abscess that burst) and they squeezed me in. In total we were seen and out the door in about an hour. The bill was super reasonable for everything they did as well. They also made sure to show me an itemized estimate before we even started and educated me on how to pay for this unexpected expense. My cat is super skittish around anyone but me and my son but she did so well with the staff. Thank you again for being compassionate and fixing up my baby Nala ❤️❤️
