Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists - Hoffman Estates

As the anniversary of my dog Rocky’s passing approaches, I’ve been reflecting on the people who made one of the hardest moments of my life a little more bearable, and Dr. Lingner is at the very top of that list. From the moment we arrived at Thrive Emergency Vet, Dr. Lingner showed a level of compassion, patience, and empathy that I will never forget. She didn’t just treat Rocky; she cared for our entire family. She took the time to explain everything clearly, gave us space to process, and supported us through an incredibly painful decision with such kindness and dignity. What stood out most was how human she was in that moment. She understood what Rocky meant to us and treated him with such gentleness and respect during his final moments. That kind of care goes far beyond medicine, it’s something truly special. Saying goodbye to Rocky was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced, but Dr. Lingner made sure he was comfortable, peaceful, and surrounded by love. I will always be grateful for that. Thank you, Dr. Lingner, for your compassion, your professionalism, and your heart. You made an unbearable moment a little more manageable, and that is something I will never forget.

This is our out-of-town ER, and we willingly drive past our closer option every time because Thrive Hoffman Estates is just that good. We’ve brought our cat here for multiple emergencies over the last year and eventually had to say goodbye to him here. Every visit has been handled with honesty, compassion, and true professionalism. They never fear-monger, never tack on unnecessary treatments, and will genuinely send you home if your pet is comfortable. The facility itself is great — a clean, calm waiting room with good snacks, toys for kids, and plenty of private spaces so stressed pets (and stressed humans!) can wait comfortably. We recently started seeing the cardiology specialists for our Doberman, and the experience has been just as exceptional. Smooth process, knowledgeable staff, and doctors who are clearly experts and incredibly kind. We appreciate this hospital so much. Worth every mile of the drive. Highly recommend.

My big boy Oliver wasn't eating right for days and was scaring us since Oliver is normally an absolute foodie.  So, I decided to cancel my birthday party and take him to emergency.  I was a nervous wreck.  When I walked in, they greeted me so kindly and quickly took Oliver to the back.  It wasn't long till Dr Monroe came out to chat with me.  She spoke softly and intelligently and helped me understand the test she was recommending and why she was.  They did bloodwork and we went and got coffee while we waited for the results. After about an hour, Dr Monroe came out to talk to me about results and explained that nothing looked super alarming and that our newest car wash kitten had probably given him feline herpes. 😕  So, a little mirtazapine and thankfully Oliver was as good as new!  My husband and I were so relieved and my daughter (Oliver's bestest friend in the whole universe) was the happiest girl in all the world. I will be recommending this hospital to everyone who needs them. They are angels.

I cannot say enough positive comments about this facility. Every employee is so kind and accommodating and you can genuinely tell how much they care about your pet. Dr. Conor Williams in the medical oncology department was seriously so amazing, kind, and informative and made the appointment with my dog a very positive experience. If your dog is diagnosed with cancer, I would 100% recommend him as a provider for your pet.

We were very impressed with Dr. McCann. She was very informative and helpful. She took the time to explain what was going on, and answered out questions. I was so thankful to have her take care of our pup. We went in as an ER patient and were shown a room right away. They took all of Bailee’s information, and symptoms and proceeded from there. The facility it very clean and organized and I highly recommend it.

I can’t say enough good things about Thrive in Hoffman Estates! My pup was treated here for a nasal tumor via stereotactic radiation 6 months ago, and Dr. Ehling was absolutely wonderful. She was so informative and took the time to help us weigh the pros, risks, and prognosis so we felt confident in our plan. The facility is incredibly clean, modern, and very spacious. This was helpful when entering with my reactive pup. The layout made it so much easier to manage his stress levels during visits. The entire staff is professional, kind, and genuinely compassionate. They even check in periodically to see how he’s doing, which we really appreciate. If you have a dog that needs specialized care but gets stressed by tight spaces or busy lobbies, this is the place to go!

I’ve always had the best customer service dealing with Briana at the front desk at Thrive. She’s professional, respectful , friendly, doesn’t rush you, caring and always goes above and beyond for her customers. I always make sure to see her when checking in and out. After all my fur baby has been through she’s really made my waiting and visits easy and pleasant ones. I always recommend Thrive to my friends and family. We see Oncology Dr Wiseman is great, Internal Medicine btw Dr Curran is amazing! And Cardiology. I’ve been taking my fur baby to Thrive now a little over a year. She had cancer and is now currently in remission since August. Her appointments are frequent and her scans can take some time, but I’m happy the customer service is great especially from Briana and The Doctors are amazing! Thank you Thrive for giving amazing service and care to my fur baby 💜
