I came back from my dad's funeral in California last year. My mom passed in 2022 and they had pets that we had to find homes for them. I end up bringing back to Texas my moms chihuahua 12 years old. And I ended up calling Hewitt Veterinary made an appointment and Dr. Parker was wonderful with Chloe. The staff in front are caring and attentive among the pets owners.
Dr. Poston was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Not only did she answer every question I had about my pup, but she explained the why and how behind it as well. Jasmine was super sweet and personable, you can tell she truly loves animals. The team at the desk took the time to stop what they were doing to make eye connection and explain the best way to set up the next appointment to ensure they answered all my questions. Amazing staff, comfortable atmosphere not only for the people but for the animals too, smooth and stress free appointment. (It was my dogs 1st time around people, animals, and new places since I got her and all went perfect). Thank you to everyone there!
The level of care that I have received with this Vet Hospital has been AMAZING. I was concerned for my 1.5yr old Calico of frequent trips to the litter box, licking, and what prompted was a scooting. After originally taking her to an emergency vet, I had been instructed to follow up to make sure her FIC was better and the bladder not inflamed. I came here to get a second opinion due to some concerns with my original vet and the handling of care from them. The HVH team was very kind. They asked questions and really made me feel re-assured that what I have been doing has been appropriate. I originally had the appointment in April and had to re-schedule and the process moving to an earlier appointment was easy and was not stressful! Checking in, and getting to the room wasn't bad. I was also shocked to actually speak to my vet in person as prior experience had only been via phone and/or with a technician. Dr. Dodson made my experience a great one. Highly recommend this place, and will continue to use them as my primary vet.
Absolutely a horrible place. They treated my dog that needed emergency surgery like crap and refused to do surgery calling her an aggressive dog. She is a 10 pound Pomeranian the Vet knew exactly what was wrong with her before running any test, but refused to do service because she was unable to run the test, needless to say, I rushed my dog to Texas medical animal center of a Steinbeck. Where is that Vet did incredible work saving my babies life.
Will not be back to this location. I was upset they didn't allow me to be with my dog to be sedated before his surgery. I've been to other vets that allowed this. Our dog is our baby we didn't want him to feel as tho we just left him. Our dog was a rescue dog who's original owners had abandoned him. He has feelings I didn't want him to feel like we were abandoning him there. When we got there I felt like they rushed us in and out the customer service interaction was terrible honestly made me feel as tho if you have terrible customer service with people how are you treat the fur babies coming in?Then when when we picked him up from being neutered he smelled like he had been in a nasty dirty kennel. We had gave our dog a bath the day before anticipating his surgery so he would be clean for his surgery. Our dog smelled HORRIBLE after we picked him up his fur was damp and nasty dirty after his surgery. I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. We were the first people there this morning so it's not like they had a long stressful day before we got there. Absolutely no excuse to treat your customers that way and I genuinely don't understand how my clean dog was so nasty after a surgery.
Wonderful service! Take my 2 dogs here. The vet is never cheaper but I often find they have better prices. Especially the exam visit costs!
This vet is just wonderful! They have helped us through so many things. From 3 cats with ringworm to a new puppy they show as much love an affection for my animals as if they were their own. Of course vets are always on the pricy side but they do what they can to help keep your costs to a minimum. Excellent staff and all around great animal lovers!
