Was able to get my dog in on a Sunday and he ended up needing emergency surgery due to an infected and fractured dewclaw. Vet even called me mid surgery to ask if I fully wanted to remove the toe or cut the toe nail down to the base and be diligent cleaning the wound. He has since healed great and the nail is growing back. Both post-op check up visits were included as a part of the surgery cost and I did not pay extra. Highly recommend this vet hospital

Got two of our cats spayed here before their switchover and ended up having problems. Went back to them after the switchover and the new vet is absolutely amazing. Was willing to work with us and took such great care of our baby girl who was having problems. Seriously considering switching our regular vet to here after this whole experience. They’re so great at Alta.

Very grateful ! Vet saved my 12 y/o chihuahua. I Took her in on a Sunday due to female issues. Vet explained her condition and squeezed her in same day surgery. What I loved about this place was that I was able to pick up my dog after surgery and bring her home same day so she could sleep in the comfort of her own home. Staff advised me to take her back next day so they can keep observation on her throughout the day, and I could pick her up in the evening . Over all the experience was much smoother than I expected as her surgery was very high risk due to her age. Vet and staff answered all my questions and concerns send her home with all her meds. I could not thank Alta vet hospital enough. My dog is doing very well and enjoying her best life. Thank you Alta vet hospital.

My cat got mastitis and the infection spread to her blood stream. She was seen in Turlock, CA but price was insanely expansive. I was referred to Dr. Hukam by a coworker. She was severely dehydrated, weak, fever of 104. Dr.Hukam assessed my cat and informed me of the best plan of care with possible emergency surgery. Surgery had to be performed. My cat stayed there for two days and 1 night. I was given detailed instructions on how to take care of her at home and was given medications and the best can food. Dr. Hukam took very good care of my cat and she is doing well. Staff is very friendly and would definitely make the 1.5 hour drive for him to care for my other pets if needed.

I’ve been using Alta Animal Hospital off and on for 40 years. They have a new vet, Dr. Singh, who seems quite nice. Staff members are friendly and upbeat. If I could suggest one thing, it would be for everyone at Alta to work on their communication skills.

I took my female dog — who is truly like a daughter to me — for a dental cleaning, and I could not be happier with the care she received. The vet did an excellent job and treated her with so much kindness and professionalism. Her teeth look amazing, and she came back happy and well cared for. We highly recommend Alta Animal Hospital veterinarian and their staff for anyone looking for medical care for their pets. We had an emergency situation for our dog, where she required surgery to remove an overgrown nail that was deeply imbedded into her paw. They treated our situation with immediate care and urgency and scheduled us in the same day we called. Ebony's procedure was completed within an hour after our arrival. Their team are amazing! They are compassionate, detailed, experienced, and guided us through the care and treatment our dog required. With their care and close monitoring Ebony is doing amazing. We will continue to come here for Ebony's future care and medical needs. Thank you for all that you do!
