Banfield Pet Hospital

This is the absolute best group of people we could ask for to care for our pets! We have spent the last 13 years with this staff and could never imagine going anywhere else. The people here care for and cherish every animal and person they work with. You will not regret making the decision to have your pets loved by these amazing animal health professionals!!

The staff here are very kind and welcoming. The vets seem educated and informed on health related issues as they should be. I love the individuals here! Their use of AI images in emails is incredibly disappointing when they’re a vet and see countless real dogs every day. Using fake pictures of AI dogs is gross and unnecessary and I would love to see real pictures in the future.

The staff here is so kind and compassionate! They have cared for my senior dog, as well as my cats, for several years. My dog was recently diagnosed with cancer and Dr. Garlock was so kind to me at the appointment. She discussed our options clearly, while being mindful of my mindset at that point. Dr. Stickler provided care for my girl, and preformed the euthanasia when the time came. She was so sweet and compassionate. It helped us so much as we said our goodbyes. Dr. Marietta is our routine care provider and she was always a fantastic vet! Her kindness is exceptional and we have always been grateful! My son brings his pets here for care and he has only good things to say about his experiences! The techs and other support staff are always patient and compassionate and they are always willing to take the time to make sure we understand everything and all of our questions are answered before we leave.

PROS- I love how easy it is to book an appointment online. I love they are available on the weekends. Staff is friendly and helpful. Vet was caring and took her time to examine my pups. CONS- My biggest area for feedback is how long the appointment took. I had 2 pups, scheduled on different days, and each appointment took over an hour and a half. These visits were for annual vaccinations. I highly recommend changing the procedure so the pet parents aren’t required to sit there for so long. Outside of that, I was happy with the care received and I felt the prices were comparable to other clinics

Everyone there is so amazing and friendly. I have been with guys for like 6 years. I started coming to you guys when my beautiful Sophie girl was 6 months old. I haven’t had a single problem since I have been a client. I love how nice and welcoming everyone is. I’m always able to get all my questions answered. I would definitely recommend you guys to all my friends and family with pets. Keep up the good work.

One of the best vet experiences we have ever had. Didn't pressure use for any additional costs, made sure all my questions were answered, treated Cosmo as their own, and overall great staff/experience.

My dog Baxter had swallowed a whole foam golf ball Monday night. We immediately took him to Iowa veterinary specialist in Des Moines where they tried to induce vomiting (ball did not come up) and took X-rays to confirm ball with there. Was told to take him home for the night and recommended surgery to remove the ball. I called Baxters regular vet and they were booked a month out. Along with 5-6 other vet offices. I called Banfield and explained the situation… they told me to bring him in right away and they could fit him in for surgery, even tho we are not normal patients there nor have they ever seen/meet Baxter. We met with Dr.Aislinn Ophoff to go over the surgery and she was FANTASTIC!!! Answered all my questions and came out multiple times to see if I had any other questions before surgery. Everything went well in surgery and the whole team was keeping me informed and showing me pictures of Baxter post op helping reassure me that he was doing great. I hands down would recommend this hospital to anyone in need. I can’t express how grateful I am for being able to get Baxter in and taken care of.
