I can't say enough about the phenomenal people who work here. Our sweet boy, Murphy, was having a medical emergency so we took him here based on reviews. They took us straight back and went to work immediately. They were genuinely concerned and so kind. We didn't feel pressured make any medical or financial decisions without fully understanding what was going on with our boy. Dr. Garner explained every thing they were doing the entire time. She spoke to us compassionately and explained everything thoroughly. One of their staff even gently washed Murphy with waterless shampoo because he had lost bladder control during this event. Sadly, Murphy couldn't recover and they handled the next steps with true care and compassion. They gave our family privacy for as long as we needed to say goodbye. They even had little plants you could take in remembrance of your beloved pet. Thank you for making a heartbreaking experience an little easier to get through.

This place is amazing! If your pet has an emergency, come straight here! They allow you to stay with your pet at all times and they do all procedures right in front of you. Our dog was here for 48 hours and we were allowed to sleep right next to her. The staff is AMAZING, kind, professional, friendly, competent. I do not have a single negative thing to say.

My poor baby LaRue ingested some tinsel and I was advised by 4 different vets to come to VEG (highly rated) and asap for x-rays. I was greeted fairly quickly and they made sure to get me a room so my cat wasn’t nervous being out in the open area. I’m very observant and seeing how the team works and communicates well, I was never worried about her care here. Dr. Rodriguez and her team are very skilled, and it shows. When i called the front desk girls before coming in they were also very kind answering my questions and greeted me at the door when I arrived. Everyone here treated LaRue as if she were their own, and it was really comforting to see that. I’m very happy with this experience.

This team is amazing and made a horrific situation so much easier. They made it okay for me to stand back, take everything in, even have a good cry. God bless this entire crew, the doctors and the vet techs. Especially the sweethearts that made my little guy bandage stickers.

I had to make the decision to let my 18 year old kitty cross the bridge. This place was awesome. Put us in a nice quiet room. They were so compassionate. They made it as easy as possible for her and us. Thank you!!!!

I brought my French Mastiff Enzo in the other night. He had a seizure out of the blue in the middle of the night. They ran tests and sent us home with to monitor him and to come back if he gets worse while we wait for his bloodwork. Well later that afternoon he seized again and we watched him. Well went back later in the evening as he got really bad and Dr McGhee was there. Our mastiff was 10 1/2 and had lived past his life expectancy by a few years. The staff and Dr McGhee were amazing. Enzo was an amazing dog and they showed him dignity and kindness. Our whole family was there as we knew this was going to be the end. I believe Enzo held on for all of us to be there. I told Dr McGhee how I always pictured knowing it was going to be time to put him down and I had a whole day planned of Enzo getting all his fave treats and just being spoiled. The Dr and Techs went and made a plate from stuff in their lunches. That meant the world to me. Unfortunately Enzo had stopped eating and didn’t get to enjoy it, if he could though the plate would have been licked clean, but just the gesture of their kindness in a time that was so hard for all of us. I can’t put into words how amazing that moment felt to me. I can’t even put into words what Enzo meant to my family. His loss is felt to a degree that is unfathomable. He was literally not just a dog and he was never treated like a dog. He was family. The vet and techs treated him just like that, not like another sick animal but like a family member who just couldn’t fight anymore. Enzo made sure we were all there and just like he did for us everyday, we all made sure we were there for him. I cannot thank them enough for the kindness they showed to our old man who was the greatest gift we ever had. Thank you Dr McGhee and staff for supporting us and helping us with a process of life that is the worst part. The sacrifice of time and your lunches was a great tribute to a great dog! I included pictures of his smile and his fave past time of sleeping.

I will forever be grateful to Veterinary Emergency Group for the compassion, dignity, and kindness they showed me during the hardest moment of my life. When I arrived with my 15.8-year-old Yorkshire, who was very sick, they took her in immediately. There was no hesitation—only urgency, care, and empathy. The veterinary team thoroughly examined her and gently walked me through what they were seeing. When they had to deliver the devastating news that she had a large tumor in her stomach and that euthanasia was the kindest option, they did so with honesty, tenderness, and deep compassion. What meant the most to me was how much space and time they gave me. They brought us into one of their comfort rooms and allowed me as long as I needed to hold my baby, love on her, and say my final goodbye without ever feeling rushed. In that room, I felt supported, respected, and understood during unimaginable grief. The entire staff—from the veterinarians to the technicians and front desk—was incredibly compassionate and supportive. They explained the entire process step by step so I knew exactly what to expect, which brought a small sense of peace during overwhelming heartbreak. They also gently guided me through the cremation process and helped me choose an urn for my baby, handling everything with care and sensitivity. Losing a pet is losing a family member, and Veterinary Emergency Group treated my sweet girl—and me—with the love and respect that reflects that truth. I cannot thank them enough for helping my baby pass with dignity and for holding space for me during one of the most painful moments of my life. I will never forget their kindness.
