We couldn’t be happier with the care our Golden Retrievers receive at Block House Creek Animal Hospital! From the moment we walk in, we’re greeted with warmth and professionalism. Dr. Kay is an exceptional DVM — compassionate, thorough, and genuinely invested in the health and happiness of our dogs. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and always makes sure our Goldens feel comfortable and calm. The entire staff reflects the same level of care and dedication — friendly, attentive, and always ready to go above and beyond. It’s clear they love what they do, and it shows in how they treat both pets and owners. We trust Dr. Kay and her team completely and can’t recommend Block House Creek Animal Hospital enough. Our Goldens actually love going to the vet...and that says it all!

We have a rescue pooch that we needed to have looked at. They were very nice and informative about the process dealing with a chipped animal and gave good guidance. After the required hold and all the appropriate attempts were made to contact the original owner we came back and had our first vet visit with the new pooch. The vet was super nice.

The passion that this team has for the animals is mine blowing. I’ve been coming to this location for a year and a half and don’t plan on leaving to any other place. I think everyone in this team understands the assignment anytime I hear someone ask for recommendation Block house is the spot to go.

BHC animal hospital is the best vet I have ever taken my pets to! The vet techs have all been wonderful, and are genuinely kind. The front desk staff is very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We see Dr Krae and we have been so impressed with his level of care for our pets. He sits on the ground with my pets and is so thorough and attentive. I never feel pressured or judged like I have at other animal hospitals. I also feel that they are very reasonably priced. I love the location and am so grateful to have them for the care of my pets.

We love Blockhouse and so do our pets. Took in Savannah, has a growth on her elbow. Within a few minutes Dr. put me at ease, did a Long Fancy Word to her elbow (think I’ll use it as a password) came back said it wasn’t alarming, something we should possibly get removed few months from now, but now an emergency. Removal would tell exactly what it is, but didn’t look too serious. I like that I never feel pressured into doing things. I’m not made to feel guilty. Still doing it, but it’s my choice. Gave her a once over and we were on our way. Bill wasn’t too bad. Great team all around.

My 12 year old beloved fur baby has Cushings and took a bad turn with not eating and lethargy. Everyone was so kind and and helped us make decisions on care. She ended up in the hosptal there for three days and nights and the vet was so kind to call us every day with a report and prepare us for everything and encouraging when her labs improved. I missed her while she was at the hospital, but I knew the staff was taking care of her. Great at answering questions and supporting our decisions. Gave us estimates for costs of everything and overall very caring and supportive.

Today we got some unfortunate news about our dog Nahla. At a different clinic they found two tumors on her spleen and referred us to a hospital to do a splenectomy. That hospital quoted us 13k-15k. After calling around different clinics, Block Creek answered and allowed us to bring Nahla before closing to get checked and get a quote….for $2500-$3000. During this visit they treated us with the utmost care and respect. Were patient with us and understanding of our circumstances. Even though we stayed almost an hour after closing we never felt like a nuisance. The surgery is tomorrow as soon as they open and regardless of how it goes I’m so thankful for the team here for all their support and effort. Thank you
