We had to take our dog in for a bite he got from another dog, and they were absolutely incredible. They really took their time with him and made him so comfortable and took such great care of him. It’s so nice to know we have a good emergency hospital close by with such caring staff. Also, the sweetest vet tech made a portrait of our dog on his bandage and I really love how thoughtful this was and really added a bright spot to a bad day. Thank you for taking such good care of our boy.

Sunday night I discovered an empty grape bag that was pulled by the trash by my corgis.. I was able to go to a local urgent care where they induced vomiting in both corgis, but found that only one was the grape eating culprit. We were transferred to Blue Pearl, who thankfully accepted Mila for treatment. She had to stay for 48 hours for IV fluids and kidney function monitoring. The staff were amazing. I was called for updates, notified of the price estimate and the plan of care upon admission. She was able to be discharged happy and healthy. She came out clean and with freshly trimmed nails. I hope I never have to bring my dogs back, but if I ever had another emergency I would not hesitate to bring them back to Blue Pearl. Thank you!!

This facility is so unprofessional the receptionists are rude! The one receptionists yelled at me for asking how my cat was doing and actually called the cops for making a dark humor joke over the phone to my boyfriend over in my car when he was in the parking lot talking to me 😂 so they ease drop on conversations people are having on the phone and made me wait hours for them with my kids to get urine sample even though I came with a urine sample. They steal your money and have bad bedside manors !

Colleen was incredible during our emergency vet visit. She immediately made me feel at ease in a really stressful situation and took the time to listen and understand what was going on with my senior chihuahua. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate, and I truly appreciated that she didn’t just brush things off because of my dog’s age—she took her health concerns seriously. I would absolutely recommend Colleen to anyone needing emergency care.

My sweet baby Nala (golden retriever) just turned 13 on Sunday. By Tuesday she fell very ill. She was not eating, drinking and vomited multiple times. As I was getting the car ready to bring her in, she collapsed. I raced to get her help after being turned away by two other places. I called Blue Pearl, they told me to bring her right over. I let them know that she was in rough shape and that she could not walk. Two vet techs met me with a gurney out front. They immediately began assessing her and getting her fluids. Shortly after, Dr. Muckenhirn let me know that she had done an ultrasound and found a huge mass on Nala’s spleen. Shortly after, the bloodwork revealed that Nala was in really bad shape, multiple organs involved. The Dr. never took surgery off the table but made it clear that if we go that route and see that the mass has spread to other organs, we may have to just not wake her from surgery… She gave me options. She was very sweet and compassionate but also straight forward. I chose to euthanize, as at this point I realized that my girl was struggling and she was not going to come back from this. They gave me as much time as I needed to say my goodbyes. They made me feel confident that I could trust them with Nala’s care, during her last few hours and after life. The hardest decision I’ve ever made in my life. I was only able to do this due to the care and empathy I felt from Dr. Muckenhirn and her staff that night. Tonight I went back to pick up my baby’s ashes and they did a wonderful job with her remains. I received a clay paw print, an engraved box and fur clippings along side a hand written card. The care and compassion from the front staff, to the vet techs and especially the doctor. To anyone who assisted with Nala’s care, I cannot thank you enough!!

0 stars. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at an animal hospital. I brought my dog in around 12:30 p.m. after he was injured in a fight with another dog. His ear was split open, he was bleeding, limping, and visibly in pain. We then spent nearly five hours sitting in the waiting room while he continued to bleed. At one point, there was blood on the floor from his injury, and when I brought it to the staff's attention, I was told, "We'll mop it up later." That response was shocking and showed a complete lack of compassion for both my dog and my family. I understand that emergency hospitals have to prioritize the most critical cases. However, there is a difference between triaging emergencies and leaving an injured dog sitting for hours with minimal communication while he cries in pain. After waiting almost five hours, we were finally brought into an exam room, where we then waited even longer. The only information we received was that he would need stitches and that it would be a long wait because other animals were being treated. After spending most of the day there, I was essentially told that nothing was going to happen anytime soon. I left my dog in their care after being told he would likely be ready between 10 and 11 p.m. When I called at 11:15 p.m. because I hadn't heard anything, I was informed they were only just starting sedation. At that point, my dog had been there for nearly 12 hours. I was then told he might be ready around 1 a.m. When I arrived at 1 a.m., he still wasn't ready, and I had to wait even longer. The final bill was approximately $1,400. Paying for emergency veterinary care is one thing. Paying $1,400 after spending nearly 13 hours waiting, receiving poor communication, and feeling like my dog's pain was treated as an afterthought is another. What upset me most wasn't the wait itself—it was the lack of urgency, communication, and empathy throughout the entire experience. If your pet is suffering, the last thing you want is to feel ignored for hours on end. Based on this experience, I will never return to this hospital and would not recommend it to other pet owners.

Literally WHY? I see vet at 245pm after I had concerns about my cat's lethargic and reclusive behavior. I also noticed that he was not eating much and winced when I touched his rear leg. I contacted blue pearl bc this was the only clinic available on Sundays, I work 2 jobs M-Sat. They educated me that wait time estimates can be 3 hours long and they prioritize animals in need of urgent care. There was also only one doctor available at this time. My pet was able to see the vet tech right away thankfully where we noticed that there was a tick attached to my cats neck as well. The tech did a reasonable job explaining to me what could happen over the course of the visit. I continued to wait in the exam room as my cat hates being in a carrier and animals are not allowed in the waiting room without a leash or a carrier (Which I find reasonable) Fast forward 2 hours later I am still in the exam room with no contact. I asked the font dest could I go grab something to eat and they responded that needed they needed to talk to the doctor 1st?? I'm already waiting mam.... I'll be right back. I am still waiting in the reception area after putting my cat in his carrier. I have seen several animals come in and out, a dog PEE on the reception floor and when I told reception that the dog had urinated one of the receptionists states "he'll get to it in a bit" That was 25 minutes ago.... now I'm smelling dog piss in the reception area. My photo doesn't do it justice. I am still waiting in reception, they have told me I am next. Pearl, don't give us bull crap excuses and apologies. The overwhelming comments in your reviews are about wait times, exhorbant pricings and poor customer service. Don't reply to me with some AI half hearted apology. Fix the d a m n problems!!
