I took my dog in for her annual exam and vaccinations. My baby is anxious around new people, but the lovely veterinarian and her assistant took the time to make her feel comfortable. They got on her level and went above and beyond so she felt safe. Not only is the staff warm and welcoming, but I found the prices to be better than other vets in the area. They gave me a quote for a spay and it was cut in half compared to other places. 10/10 recommend!

We want to give a big hug and shout out to Carie... She has truly been a blessing for our furry family. Most importantly she always gives sound Veterinary tips that have been very helpful when treating our dogs. We appreciate your passion and patience with Gracey and Ace.Thank you for all you do!

I will never go here again nor would I recommend anyone else go here either. The vet was late, appeared drunk, and misdiagnosed my dog. I was uncomfortable the moment she walked into the room and handled my dog. He ended up needing to be hospitalized and almost passed away.

I love the people at Mission Viejo Vet !❤️! That’s probably why I have been taking all my fur babies there for over 20 years! Today I brought in a feral cat I caught and wanted to get neutered. Assistant Michelle and Dr Berry were extremely helpful and kind to help me with care for this animal. It brought me to tears. I APPRECIATE YOU PEOPLE SO MUCH, THANK YOU THANK YOU ❤️🐾

Dr. Harrison is an absolute disgrace to the veterinary profession. I've been waiting for four days for blood test results and she left a voicemail instead of actually returning my calls the days prior to her attempt to get a hold of me. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone just because of this woman's lack of urgency to deliver "bad news". Oh, by the way, your phones were saying you were closed when I tried calling from 8am-8:30am despite your hours saying you open at 8am on a Thursday. The receptionist lady was nice and cooperative when I finally came in to get my cats blood work papers. So kudos to her. Otherwise, avoid this place. You will be left waiting on important information from a "doctor" with horrendously awful bad breath (which I wouldn't care about had she actually, y'know... DONE HER JOB TO GET ME ON THE PHONE). Harrison needs to go work at McDonald's and learn the basics about customer service and having a sense of urgency. Booo on you lady. You're shameful to your community. My cat and I will be taking our business elsewhere.

My dog was injured and they got him in right away and stitched him up at amazingly good price, then just days later he managed to reinjure it and again they took him right in and even stayed 2 hours after closing to restitch and care for him. I can't express how greatful and impressed I am. Thank you so much for everything.

I liked this vet originally when my dog only needed her typical exams and shots (9 years loyal), once she became a senior and started having true health issues, this vet seemed to not care to find a solution. My dog started to experience skin issues (smelling bad, constantly itching, flaking) and for about 2 years we continued to bring her back here. The doctor simply said it was allergies and continued to only offer us one of 2 solutions, a shot that would relieve her symptoms for a month or 2 or some pills they claimed would work but we constantly needed refills because it never did. These shots barely worked for our dog, only giving her some relief from some symptoms for about 2-3 weeks til she was back to her original state. We continued to bring her back and ask the vet for other solutions, explanations, and for some more affordable options. The doctor acted like we didn’t want to treat our dog every time we asked to explore more treatment options. Mind you we were spending anywhere from $300-500 per vet visit. Clearly we care about her treatments… They also acted like we were committing a sin whenever we asked if there were cheaper or more affordable options to explore. Finally after 2 years of this, we got fed up and booked an appointment with CityVet on Iliff. In one visit they explained that her breed is prone to skin issues at older age, then recommended we change our pet food for sensitive stomach for senior dogs, told us to keep our dog’s fur short, and recommended us several other treatments for our dog and helped us with many affordable options. Mission Viejo never even considered that the issue could stem from her food, her stomach or her new senior status… Only told us allergies pop up at random times and never explored any other options on what could be bothering our dog, even though we asked several times if it could be something else. And mission viejo knows what food she was being fed since the start because they ask at every visit so I’m not sure why they didn’t consider or clock this issue. It’s crazy that simply changing her food helped her 80% more than any shot or pill Mission Viejo suggested. My dog’s skin does still flake at times but she’s no longer itching constantly, smelling horribly, in pain, or having to take a pill everyday. CityVet also educated us on her ears and how to keep them from infections instead of just offering us the treatment. I wish we moved on to a more educated and personalized vet earlier. My dog suffered for 2 years for no reason, but I’m glad she is better now with our new vet. I would say this vet is ok for the simple stuff but anything more complicated I would suggest going somewhere else. The doctor doesn’t really treat any questions or communication as goodwill unfortunately.
