Took our fur baby to the Ballston Animal Hospital for a small bump on his shoulder. Was able to get an appointment ASAP, and the magic started. The veterinarian was amazing as well the support staff. Was able to speak directly to the staff, and my dog was taken care of without question. We were in/out in no time. If you have veterinary needs, please check out Ballston Animal Hospitals. Your fur baby will thank you!

We love Ballston Animal Hospital! Have been bringing our pets to you all for years — and today in particular we wanted to recognize Dr. Gallitz. We recently brought in our five year old dog Peter for a dental cleaning. He had noticeably slowed down in the previous 4-6 months and was acting like an old man. Didn’t want to walk. Wasn’t really himself. Low energy. Seemed depressed. We did some routine bloodwork in preparation for his dental cleaning — and Dr Gallitz immediately noticed something she didn’t like, so she wanted to do another test and send it to another lab for further analysis. Sure enough, the results came back indicating our dog has hypothyroidism. Thankfully, it can be easily treated - two pills every morning and evening. Since we began the medication, Peter’s entire demeanor has changed. He is back to his old puppy self again! Has energy, seems SO much happier, demands longer walks and even jumps up on the bed (though he’s not allowed to!). The change in his behavior is remarkable. All because Dr Gallitz noticed something was off in his labs. Thank you, Dr Gallitz!! We so appreciate you!! And all the staff at Ballston Animal Hospital.

I have been bringing my dog to this vet for 14 years. Dr. Collins trained the woman who was the matron of honor at my wedding. I am beside myself with the failures I have seen over the past two weeks for my dog. I brought her in after she started having accidents in her sleep. She had a UTI and was prescribed antibiotics. During the treatment her accidents got worse, not an urgency to pee but wetting the bed. I was beside myself thinking that this was the end, but after doing my own research I found that there are some meds that could help. I emailed asking for guidance and got no response. When I called the staff told me that I needed to bring in another urine sample before the vet would prescribe meds to help. After I did that, the staff told me that they would not authorize meds without lab work (even though the vet said she would, but suggested lab work). I am shocked and appalled that it has taken so long to get my pet care and at the behavior of the staff, the amount of money I have spent (ultrasounds aren’t cheap), and the delay of care for my pet that has been a patient here for so long.

We previously took our babies to a commercial Vet. HUGE mistake! You never get the same Vet and your babies feel uneasy with a new stranger each time. We decided to go to Ballston Animal Hospital. BEST CHOICE EVER! We have a dedicated primary Vet who actually loves them. While she is conducting her examinations she speaks to them, holds them and even gives them kisses. They love that comfort and we appreciate it very much!

My puppy ate nandinia berries before I could stop her. I looked on the internet if it’s toxic to dogs. Yes, highly toxic, call your vet! So I did and they got me in right away. The tech met me at the door! Highly recommend.

I have been going to Ballston around the last year by a coworker recomendarion. I'm more than happy with them, nothing to do with Bandfield, the worst of the worst. They do care for me and my pet, they are always kind, explain everything very good, charge ALWAYS the same, and they let me stay present at all moments. They are a clearly 10 for me, and for Thor!
