Willowbend Animal Hospital

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Willow Bend Animal Hospital, we drive from Andover to here in Wichita. Sam, Anika, and Dr. Johnson and Dr Streiff have truly become part of our family by caring for pur fur baby family. They lovingly cared for my mom’s three boys all the way until they crossed the rainbow bridge at 18 years old — every single one of them. The compassion and dignity they showed through every stage of life meant more than words can express. My Mom loved her babies more than us kids I think, so she was very picky about who was able to care for her babies. Now they’re caring for my 1-year-old, 3-year-old, and 9-year-old. My 9-year-old has significant medical issues, and the level of attentiveness, patience, and genuine love they show is incredible. They take the time to explain things, never rush us, and always treat my babies like their own. I first brought my senior, Elvis, here in 2023 while visiting my mom from Texas. Since then, anytime I’m in town, I make it a point to bring my fur babies there. They are affordable, efficient, and most importantly — they truly care. If your babies are a patient, they always find a way to see them, even last minute. In Texas, my daughter works at a Vet Behavioral Hosp, so we are extremely selective about care. Highly, highly recommend. ❤️

I cannot say enough about Willowbend. They have cared for my two dogs for a few years now, and most recently helped us get everything straightened out to move to Europe with both pups. I’m not kidding when I say that every single interaction with ANY staff member over the years has been EXCEPTIONAL!!! This clinic is the most kind, caring, informative, and all around amazing place to take your pets. They have performed many services for our pups from annual exams, to vaccinations, to a spay, to specialized care for our move abroad and I have been blown away by their service every time. I have a very high energy (difficult lol) dog and they never once made me feel like she was an inconvenience. They always got us appointments in a timely manner, their communication is unmatched, and their prices are fair. I recommend this practice 100x over and will genuinely miss having them for our pets care. Thank you, Willowbend, for everything you have done for us!!

Extremely friendly and seem to want to get to know their clients on a more meaningful level. Costs were all reasonable except for the sanitary shave for my cat, which is a minor thing I can get done elsewhere. Cats seemed comfortable and it was quieter there than at the previous vet. No wait time to be seen. Called to make sure everything was ok before and after the appointment. Paid in the service room as opposed to having to go up front to pay and got to get out of there with no hassle as well!

Willowbend has been our vet for decades. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Streiff and the wonderful staff of vet techs are great people and it is always evident that they very genuinely care about our pets and about us. They have seen us through the entire life cycle of our dogs, from puppyhood to elder care and we appreciate them so much.

I had to put my best friend of 16 years to sleep today. I've never had to do that before. The staff here were kind, understanding, and did a fantastic job explaining how everything would go. We were allowed to be there as he passed and I never felt rushed. They let us stay as long as we needed. They handled all the after care as well. My dog was in excellent hands and I couldn't have asked for a better group of folks. Thank you all.

I enjoyed the fact that they did all they could to help my dog feel at ease including forgoing a table and sitting on the floor with her. She was anxious and they loved on her and tried to put her at ease. That meant so much.

All the staff is always friendly and courteous and treat our pets like they are their own. Dr Johnson is so calming and always willing to take extra time to answer questions and to go the extra mile in the way he handles our pups and with phone calls when you least expect it!
