West Palm Animal Clinic: Dr. Michelle Durkee

We live between Ohio and FL and have been taking our two Belgian Malinois females, Alpha and Delta to Dr Durkee since they were puppies. We had several instances where they saved Alpha as a puppy, from major swelling to the face from a potential bite or sting, to her swallowing multiple toys that needed to be removed. Dr Durkee is wonderful and truly loves and understands our breed. We decided to wait to get them fixed until just recently, due to their aggression during heat towards each other (3 and 4 yrs old) I consulted with other vets in Ohio about surgery, but ultimately only trusted Dr Durkee with our girls. We had them both fixed on the same day. It was so much easier than I expected it to be. They recovered wonderfully and Dr Durkee made sure they were medicated prior to surgery and well after to ensure it was easier for everyone including the girls. They are getting along great again with no issues and are very happy. Thank you!

The staff was courteous and fast, they handled our kitten with great care and were more than willing to give clear and concise information about procedures and prescriptions. There is adequate parking and they have the clinics set up to keep the cats and dogs relatively separated and have a dedicated exit once you're done. Prices are about what I would expect in this marketplace.

I have been a client of Dr. Michelle Durkee, and her wonderful staff at West Palm Animal Clinic, for approximately 25 years. I want to tell you that I would NOT trust any other veterinarian with my fur babies. She tells it like it is, good, bad, or otherwise, and it is always in the best interest of my cats. Thank you Dr. Durkee and West Palm Animal Clinic........if I could rate you with 10 stars, I absolutely 💯% would do that!!!!

Been going since we rescued this little cutie and finally had an opportunity to meet Dr. Durkee(previous visits we've seen Dr. Baker) today. Honestly, I'm so grateful they're only a few minutes away. Both doctors are intelligent, hospitable, patient and most importantly, compassionate. Every visit has been a pleasure even considering the circumstances have not been merely routine check ups. You all know the old trope of dogs fearing the vet office? That's not the case here, my dog will gladly hop out of the car and walk straight to the door when we arrive, no coaxing or bribing necessary. I've only dealt with two of the vet techs there(Bianca and Danielle/Daniella?sorry, I'm bad with names) but they have both been absolutely fantastic. Heck, even the receptionist Karen was phenomenal. If you're browsing google and reading reviews looking for a vet clinic then look no further, you found it with this one.

I recently moved here from out of state and hadn’t found a vet yet. But when emergency struck, I had to make a quick decision and this was where I landed. They squeezed us in, they were totally on top of everything from start to finish, they made my cat feel comfortable and safe. They acted quickly and were able to figure out what was going on and get my kitty the right care. The whole staff was lovely and the doctor was thorough. You can tell that everyone here is truly invested in helping our fur babies. They are transparent and upfront about costs too, which I loved. Very reasonable pricing (I have been totally price gauged in the past - this was not like that). This was also the first time my cat ever came back happy from the vet! Cannot thank you all enough.

4/7/25- 5 Stars! My sweet Kitty Layla had inflamed gums... her teeth needed to be removed.. I've had senior dog's that had their teeth removed but never a young cat.. Ashleigh was amazing! As always! She took great care of my sweet Kitty! I brought her in at 7am and picked her up at 3pm. She's eating both her dry and wet food and drinking plenty of water! There have been no complications. Thank goodness. It took about 4 days for her to start playing with her toys and feeling really good.. all the staff were very compassionate and helpful! I appreciate their sincere friendship and kindness! I highly recommend!! 11/18/24- Back again! Poor puppy Quinn! He still jumps and yelps when I touch his paw.. still trying to chew on it… the blister maybe definitely healing but he is still in pain when you touch it. I don’t know what’s wrong.. ————————— 11/11/24- puppy limping and chewing on his right paw and wining! Definitely hurting! A blister is on his right paw! They gave him an antibiotic shot and prednisone.. praying 🙏🏻 this helps! ———————————————————— 10/30/24- 5 Stars!! Always feel like family here! Dr. Durkee and Ashleigh are truly the most sincere, genuine, caring and lovingly knowledgeable for both my Kitty Layla and Puppy Quinn! Actually, all the staff are amazing! I trust them implicitly with the care of my furry family! We are so lucky to have them in our lives! They even put up with my extreme anxiety! Really! It’s always spotless and inviting! Affordable and easy to set up appointments! If you are new to the area or snowbirds looking for a reliable, professional and experienced Veterinarian … trust me this is the best Veterinary Clinic! —————————- So lucky to have my Puppy Quinn under the care of Dr. Durkee and her amazing staff!!
