Our family dog, Lenny Kravitz, reached the end of his life, and Dr. Gunner gently guided us through an incredibly difficult decision. He was not only professional in explaining our options, but, more importantly, he showed genuine compassion and empathy. Dr. Gunner and his staff will always be our choice for caring for our beloved pets. It was a hard day, but they made it a little easier for our family.

This place is great. 3 yrs ago I lived in Washougal and brought my cat Mittens there to see Dr. Laukannen. She was great. Everyone there was attentive, friendly, and professional. We moved to the west-side. My other cat has gotten sick. Rather than risk another encounter with a vet that has bad reviews, we are just going to make the drive. It is well worth it for peace of mind. Dr. Gilmartin is my other cat’s vet and she is great. Follows up exactly when and how she says she would. They called two days in a row to make sure my cat was still doing okay. Good pet care is not always convenient. But it is worth it. I could have saved $200 by coming back instead of taking a chance with a mobile vet. Everything has been explained concisely. Very grateful.

We bring our dogs to Orchard Hills for two reasons, the puppy package is incomparable and the care and knowledge of the staff is second to none. Our little dachshund was in a bad way when we got him, but with the help and care of the staff here, Ducky is on his way to a happy, healthy life.

Portland clinics weren't accepting new patients 5 years ago but this clinic was. Worth the drive. Wonderful staff and affordable. Recently renovated

Very friendly staff! We get our paralyzed dog Judy seen here and they are amazing! When Dr. Bargar, and Dr. Gummer have to see her they are beyond thorough and explain things in a way that we understand, which is huge! She is a special case and they always take special care! We cant wait to get our other pups seen here!

We were recommended Orchard Hills by another vet clinic to perform a TPLO surgery on our dog. From the start we had a great experience, they got us in as quick as possible for a consultation and within 5 days he was getting the surgery. Dr Bargar walked us through the entire process and listened to our concerns, helping us figure out solutions and put us at ease. The day of, they were compassionate and helpful, giving us updates post-surgery and excellent post-care instructions as well as a phone check up the next day. Great work by everyone there.

That's accountability you can trust. Exceptional Care for Anxious Pets Our cat Boxi is a former feral with severe anxiety, and the team has been incredible with her. Once I communicated her needs clearly, they stepped up in every way: calming spray in the exam room, pre-appointment calming meds, and soft blankets to help her feel safe during procedures. My advice: if your pet has special needs, speak up and ask. They have the tools and compassion to help, but clear communication makes all the difference. Real Talk No vet is perfect 100% of the time - that's just reality. What matters is how they respond when things don't go as planned.
